We have a 1995 Chevy tahoe with a 7000 pound towing limit and a class 5 hitch. We are looking at the above trailer which has a 4200 dry weight. There will only be my wife and I camping. Is this a reasonable match for our towing vehicle? Most camping will be within a 200 mile range. Thanks for any help you can give us. Steve and D'Andrea.

We tow a Amerilte 25bh with a dry weight of 4200 lbs with our 07 Expedition that doesn't have a tow package and is limited to 7000 lbs. We always tow in the Rockies and so far have had no issues.

Thank you for your input. We are going to look at the trailer in the next two days. Steve

Shouldn't be a problem... I tow a Passport 235ML with my '03 Tahoe (5.3L 4x4) and it does just fine. My Passport has similar weight. Just make sure you install a transmission oil cooler if you don't already have one, the 4L60E transmission doesn't like to overheat.

You'll be fine. 4600 dry is probably the most you'd want to go.
