Hi Marcus and staff,
The reason I am posting this is that I traded in a toy hauler 5th wheel and truck on a used Class A motorhome (CW Madison, WI). I took delivery on July 10th 2012 and have spent more time in the shop than can be counted. Yes we had PDI on July 10th and prior to that time I said the generator is not working right and the A/C did not cool the coach (it has a basement unit) plus had CW install a tow bar, brakes and lights on a car on July 17 and replace a bent leveling jack plus some other things. The unit need a new hitch (hitch had to be replaced because the receiver rusted in) and It took over 3 weeks to get a hitch in and it was the wrong hitch.
Did I mention that I am getting married (Her first and my second I’m a widower) (we are both in our early 50’s) on Aug 25 and leaving on Aug 26 for our honeymoon. All along the staff at CW was informed that I need the coach by Aug 20 to finish packing and leave to drive 180 mi north to the wedding.
When I went to pick up the coach today (Aug 20), I was told it would not start (it needs a new starter but it worked fine up to that point). At this point, all I want to do is give my new wife the wedding she and I planned and go on our honeymoon. Since we cannot trust the coach we are forced to use my pick-up truck and we will have to stay in motels and not in our coach.
If the coach is done on Aug 21, I will still take the truck for I do not trust the coach to stay working and plan to trade it off when I get home. To make a long story short all I would like to do is give my new bride a wedding of her dreams and take her on a nice trip. So how am I going to do this in a Motorhome bought from CW, Madison, WI that keeps falling apart or wondering what is going to break next and to top it off all we used it for is to drive back and forth to CW, Madison, WI plus 1 trip to the truck stop to fill the fuel tank. So Marcus can you help with making this nightmare stop or has CW, Madison, WI sold me a bag of goods (and not a very good bag at that)??????

Sounds like you shouldn't have waited so long to make your purchase. Unrealistic to expect service staff to drop everything else so you can make your plans. Even if you did inform them of your drop dead date, they have no control over incorrect parts coming in from suppliers or other parts breaking.

I wonder?? The OP might have stated he needed the camper ready by Aug 20, but did Camping World make an agreement to have it ready by Aug 20? If Camping World did not agree to that, well ..... you've just gotta be patient and let them do their job on their time-line, no matter how much you might have wanted it ready by Aug 20.

For one thing the Gen was fixed on the 17 the ac they said it worke d fine and it would not cool the unit at temps in the upper 70s. They pulled it on last Thursday as for the hitch it was the wrong hitch after a 3 week wait to get it. As for thinking the unit had all the problems when I bought it and I know it you're wrong the is falling apart or what is going to break next

Prca- thanks for the note. Sorry you are having an issue. I have sent the information to the store in Madison and they are looking into doing what they can to assist on your time line and I am looking into why it took 3 weeks to get a hitch. We appreciate your business.
