Dumb question from a SB owner here ... I plan for my next truck to be a LB so I can do 90deg with my 5er and have more room for stuff, general hauling etc. Things have changed since I bought the SB and would rather have the room despite the truck length.

I've always thought that the LB would let me do a 90deg turn. True or not always?

Any opinions are my own and not of my employer.

I have an F450 (Only sold with long bed) I can turn way past 90 if needed... And I believe unless you have a very unusual trailer it would be true of all 5th wheels. I am using B&W Companion Hitch.

I can turn past 90* with my F350 and B&W even with a low profile toolbox across the bed. Just has to be pretty level.

Well past 90 degrees, likely 95 or so, makes U turns a joy.

Longbed here.......easily turn 90* PLUS

Don't like doing it due to the extreme sideloading on FW tires/suspension so I avoid as much as possible which is 95% (or higher) of time.

Rather make a 3 (or 4,5,6) point turn vs sharp u-turn.

Same here. My trailer came with a sticker on the front corners that said one could turn 88 degrees with a short bed truck. That seems like it would be enough for anyone. Trailers that are rounded in the front can turn shorter that ones that are flat across the front. Mine is very rounded.

I didn't make it 90% as the pin box hit the rail caps. Just enough to take a chunk of the plastic, but not hit the metal. Didn't notice it at the time so don't know if I was level or not. As always....pay attention to everything!

I have a long beed pickup truck bed on my MDT. It will go past 90 degrees plus the MDT truck has a 53 degree wheel cut so u-turns are spectacular.

I can turn past 90 degrees, but as others stated it should be level and I do try to avoid turns that tight.
