For the life of me I can not understand the difference between a listed Good Sam Park on the Good Sam Web site and the campground web site both claiming that The Zooland Family Campground of Asheboro, NC as a Good Sam Park is not an authorized Park for the membership rebate? I enclosed the campground receipt showing bill date, amount paid, and the name and address of the campground on the receipt for July 26-28, 2012 for the VA Southside Sams Club Rally. I received a letter back with my certificate stating that the receipt could not be identified as an active Good Sam Park. So I called and got the same answer-the GS customer service could not verify that it was an authorized Good Sam Park even after I explained it was on the Good Sam web site, and also the campground web site. What gives? Right hand does not know the left hand?

I have found the new owners there to be very informed and helpful, maybe you should ask them. I do not understand why a Virginia rally was held there.

I just looked at the zooland RV park web site and I don't see any Good Sam mentioned anywhere. There is AAA, AARP, Pass port america and Coast to coast. here is the link, when it comes up click on the right side of the page for memberships, does anyone see a Good sam mentioned?
Zooland RV
On Edit I looked at the good sam website and it does show Zooland as a Good Sam Park, maybe Marcus will get involved and setttle it for you

Maybe Rally was the wrong term to use. It was our monthly weekend outing for our chapter. Since we are located on the VA-NC border, we will try to visit close (VA or NC) family oriented campgrounds that offer local attractions. Zooland offered that with the NC Zoo and Seagrove Pottery tour, plus it was a Good Sam Campground.

I'm wondering if the Good Sam thing is left over from when it was a different campground several years ago...

Yes we did get the Good Sam discount. No the logo was not left over from previous park from years past. New owners were very proud of all the upgrades they had done and they had just recently been inspected and approved/passed their GS requirements. The Campground also gave us the Good Sam Comment cards to mail in on "How did we do?"and we were asked to rate them and mail in cards.

What logo? Your first post mentioned nothing about a logo at the campground. You said on their website, which another mentioned it's not on their campground website. At least not where I saw either. I did go on Good SAMs website and after searching some, I did see a listing there, but there was no information there really. Just that it was a GS park. Which is why I was wondering if it was left over on the system or something. But since you said the owners mentioned it they just went through the inspection and were excited about it, then perhaps there is the problem. Something has not been updated somewhere. To be honest with you when I I itially typed in asheboro into the search, nothing came up. It took for me to check Charlotte and then there was a link over to the right that said something about other GS parks or something. Then when I clicked on it,I was able to see asheboro and there were several parks listed.
