Another task for us parents. Go into restrooms, showers and look for anything out of place or odd! Up down around everywhere. How sad to hear this stuff! Thanks for heads up!

Really, are you kidding. This is how child porn-type photographs are sold over the internet. I am appalled that this happens but more concerned that others think it is okay to do so. Snip...

What, in the post you quoted makes you think he thinks it is ok to do so?

A shower and bathroom stall should be considered safe and PRIVATE from all prying eyes.

I agree with this statement as probably everybody else does too.

x2 on all you said. No one said it was ok. These type of things happen though and you can't go into complete fear mode and raise your kids in an unrealistic bubble of over protection.

Hopefully they catch the creep that set those cameras up. The amount of cameras would make me think it was a worker at the park. I bet the person who does mainenance or cleans the bathroom was the first talked to by the police.

I am not familiar with all of the NFPA codes but I doubt there is less need for fire protection in a public building because it is in part or in all a bathhouse and restroom…

The building has heating and water heating equipment and electricity… smoke detectors would not cause me to be suspicious that they were installed or tampered with by some pervert…

I very rarely use public showers. Might be gross but guys do pee in the shower. How do you know that the guy before you didn't pee in the shower. Plus all the other fungis that may be on the floor. Go read some articles about workout gym showering. There are more germs on the floor than you could imagine. And wearing flip flops won't help. We use our TT shower 99% of the time because it's clean and private.

Sounds like and investigation of not only the campground owners and staff but also seasonal campers and recent campers is in order. This is a terrible thing and I hope the people who did this receive the maximum punishment.

Bathrooms are the main reason why we got out of camping in popups. No matter how many times the CG staff cleans the bathrooms and showers, people are slobs and don't care about the person using it after them.

I've been to Otter Lake CG. It is still a family owned/operated CG and really a great place. The owners will now have their hands full once the lawyers get in on this.

I use the toilet in my camper, that's one of the main reasons I bought it. My hemorrhoids are a pain and I prefer privacy for that. But, as for the shower it depends on how I feel. I will use the one at the park if it's convenient. I have flip flops and I'm not that afraid of germs. Just like everything else in life you can mitigate the risks but, not avoid all of them unless you live like a hermit. (Howard Hughes died too)

How do flip flops not help?

Also, if somebody pee'ed in the shower before me odds are that it has all been washed down the drain. If not, it sure will be while I run the water waiting for the hot water to get up to temp.

I typically shower in the TT though but could care less if someone actually wanted to film me of all people showering...

Ha, same here. Take all the pics of me naked you want - this won't keep me from the bathhouse.

I understand the very legitimate concerns about having pictures taken of children and it will make me far more vigilant and more likely to use the camper shower if I take any of my nieces or nephews with us.
