Our motorcycle dealership called today saying he had received two yamaha
2000iS's and one 1000 generators. We went in and and he made us a deal
we thought was good. We bought one EF2000iS for $915 plus tax out the door. He has treated us well in the past too. We have bought 2 Goldwings and one Shadow from him in the past. Life is good and this time was fair.

That's a pretty good deal. I just paid $969 for my Honda 2000i OTD. But, same as you, have purchased six ATV's from my dealer, so they are very friendly whenever i'm in town. In fact, this dealer has made me a deal on everything purchased... Which is why I keep coming back. As I used to say when I was in the service industry, I would rather make $5 ten times, then $25 once.

I got my EU2000i Honda from Mayberrys about six years ago for $850 then - free shipping. I ordered mine on-line with Mayberrys around noon one day and it showed up the next day around 4PM. Sure cant beat that haha... I think it came via UPS.

I think the Mayberry price is around $900 now so your price falls right in that same ball park figure. You did good...

All I have ever done with my 2KW Honda EU2000i is change the oil once a year and run some sta-bill thru it once in awhile. It sits permanently in the tail gate corner of my truck 24/7 which is covered by a hard plastic folding bed cover and fires off on the first pull everytime. I think the sloshing around of the fuel is good for it being in the back of the truck bed all the time.

This is the perfect spot for me as the shore power cable of my OFF-ROAD camper just fits the generator sitting on the tail gate. All is out-of-site when not being used...

Having a bunch of Two-Way Radios in my truck for my other "hobby" it sure is nice to have a generator always ready on the truck to re-charge my truck batteries sometimes when I get long winded hehe...

Always have to have a PLAN-B anymore it seems...

That's okay, you don't need to. It won't be used at any CG. For local use, I live on 16 acres.

I bought my Yamaha ef2000iS off of amazon a month ago.

So far I'm loving it! I was deciding between the Honda 2000 and the Yamaha but I finally chose the Yamaha.

Here's a comparison that I found helpful: Yamaha ef2000is vs Honda eu2000i

Does anyone have the Honda? How does it compare?
