I've wanted a big 5'er toyhauler and a crew cab dually for years. Now that I have a 40'er and a F350, I am wanting a truck camper too. Sometimes the 5'er is just too big.

I agree with everyone who says whatever fits is the unit for you. We have the deisel truck but went with a small 26 ft 5er and love it. Now for our latest crazy discussion - Eventually DH will retire, and we have talked about buying a used TC for a trip to Alaska instead of taking 5er - and then selling the TC when we return.

Haven't figured out how to get the DW's weaving loom into a popup...wouldn't fit in our last 21' FunFinder, either. But, I get it. There, really, wasn't anywhere I wouldn't have gone (and did go) with that 21' bumper pull being towed by my Jeep Commander...
My 2 cents, your mileage may vary...

We have the 24' fiver. Used to tow it with a Tundra, but, wanted 4WD so moved "up" to the diesel. Still like the trailer so will probably keep it forever.
At the same time we have a tent to go with out Honda Element for weekend trips.
And, I have a tent to go with my motorcycles for solo trips.
All depends on what we want to do at the time. Options are always good.

Uh......there is NO WAY that the DW is giving up her fireplace, queen size bed, satellite tv or dual a/c's. Yes, I blame it all on her.
