Hi,
I just ordered a new TV and will be having a spray in bed liner installed. I am considering the Reese Elite FW hitch because of the under box rails. My question is, do I install the hitch before or after the bed liner? I understand why you would do the bed liner first in a conventional in box rail system but was uncertain about the Elite system.
Thanks for any input.

I would install the rails first, then mask off the top of the puck before spraying the bed.

Thanks for the reply, that's what I was leaning towards and even thought about cutting the holes for the pucks, then spraying and then finishing the installation. Thanks again.

I ordered my truck with the underbed rails. The bed liner was sprayed in afterward. Don't think it makes a lot of difference.

I just bought a 2012 Ford F350 with the Reese Elite hitch prep already factory installed. Had the bed sprayed after I took delivery. Guy doing the spray in knew how to mask it off. No problems.

Yup install first, then Spray. A consideration for you. When I had my bed sprayed I also had them spray the rear wheel wells. What an amazing difference on road noise. It looks fantastic and should prevent any rusting in that area. Guy did a great job!

I just bought my TV and the bed was factory sprayed. I am having the Elite underbed mount installed. My question is have you decided on a hitch? I am leaning towards the B & W 3300 which is a 20K/5000 and American made vs the Reese. Just curious what other folks are doing.

B&W is the way to go. Look at the jaws, really compare the two. I have seen more damaged beds from the 5er falling on the truck that had Reese hitches. With the B&W if the handle is closed and the pin installed it is latched NO QUESTION.
Very solid quality US Made hitch.

Ok I guess I have to ask, does the B&W have it's own under bed mount like the Elite or does it fit the Elite mount.

The RVK 3300 by B&W was made to fit the Reese Elite. The only underbed B&W has as of this time is the turn over ball for the model 3000 which is an 18000 lb hitch. The other advantage to the 3300 is that is has a vertical height of 18 in. vs 16 for the 3000. It will help clear the higher sidewalls on some of the new trucks. I am looking forward to getting mine done. Then I will have to level the fiver probally. By the way mine is going in a 2012 Ram 3500.
