Very interesting. I like some of the concepts. The U.S. RV industry is ripe for the taking. Maybe this will be a wake up call. Much like the Japanese and the marine industry. Thanks for sharing

At around $30,000 US, its a bit pricey for so small and narrow a trailer. It looks like its made well and cheaper than an airstream.

I agree though it is closer to $40K by my reckoning.

If the RVs we get on this side of the pond are 1/2 as good in terms of quality, I would be more than happy. I looked for floorplans and weights but could find neither. I did note the picture of one of the units hooked up to a small SUV though, so all must be good.

The ad is very visually appealing and I see the website even offers Service Plan for the utmost in low stress ownership.

From a practical male point of view, I would rather not own white fabric furniture although I have to admit it looks nice, at least when new. It seems like the newest thing again. We are in the process of just exchanging a confounded light colored wall-to-wall carpet over to laminate flooring in our stick-house family room, and I am glad to finally see the carpet go. It was a nightmare series of various minor stains while we owned it, sometimes requiring a multitude of repeated cleanings to remove even slight discolorations.

If I heard right, the framing on the 2013 Swift Conqueror is light-weight redwood, which is rather unique. That particular wood is quite strong for its weight and naturally rot resistant. They treat it further. The redwood is weaker than, say, Yellow Pine but it may not matter if the fiberglass shell adds missing strength. Redwood, like other woods, also has the distinct advantage of not transfering heat loss like an aluminum frame. I'll assume there is still a steel underframe.

According to the swift site they're starting at 22,918 U.S dollars and dry weight is 2832.94lbs. Not bad. I'm guessing it's Euro dollars.
