Does anyone use these. Trying to determine the sturdiness of them before I spend the money on one.
Any recommendations?

I have an aluminum one from Harbor Frieght. It is well built and has held up well.

Got one...works well. Bought mine from Costco on-line. Rated for 500# and I have no doubt that it will hold that much! It's pretty heavy.

X2!
I have a 2" receiver on the back of my 5W that I lock the carrier onto. Use it to tote my jenny and gas when boondocking.

Have used one for years. There is also a bolt on for most vehicles for the front. They are great. Use something to stabalize the side to side and twisting. I use Ratchet ties.

I have the steel one from Harbor Freight. I can stand on it (200 pounds) and jump. I put a couple plastic storage bins on it and drove 2500 miles MI->FL->MI in February. Worked great!

Stay within their ratings, and most are sturdier than the hitch receiver that they go into.

We have an older steel one...seems plenty sturdy...maybe giant boulders might be a bit much ;-)
