Well as promised in the thread titled "first hybrid with 2 slideouts, new Roo 23IKSS" I went to the local Rockwood Roo dealer and had a good look at the 2013 Rockwood Roo 23 IKSS hybrid.

I took over 120 photos of this RV and have posted them on my website. There are no size restrictions there so clicking on any photo will bring up a much larger 102 x 768 px version of the same photo. I have photos of the outside, inside and underside. Didn't have a ladder to get photos of the roof.

My concerns about the awning clearance and slope as well as sleeping while turtling have been addressed.

This is quite likely my next RV. Gotta find the money now.

GREAT JOB!!!
thanx for all the work. do you mind if i link this to the Forest River Forums website?
that's where i first got wind of this new floorplan.

so, how much room is there when it's turtled? is there room to get to the bathroom?
the kitchen slide looks like it butts right up against the island, when it's closed.

Thanks Dan. Yes you (and anyone else) may certainly post a link to the main page of the website anywhere you like. That way the whole lot stays together and I get my attribution and the dealership gets its plugs. ;-)

I have no particular allegiance to this dealer BTW -- but may be considering buying from them (quid pro quo, no?)

When turtled, the two slideouts butt up against the immovable island. That means to get to the bathroom you have to deploy one of the slides. Looking at it my choice would be the kitchen slide as it is smaller and likely has the same strength motor. Besides being curbside, that would be the side to deploy if on the side of the road and you "gotta go".

So when turtled and the kitchen slide is deployed, you can use the hide-a-bed and enjoy the trailer fully without deploying anything else.

Awesome trailer. Thanks for all the hard work. Makes my 2008 21SS look kind of sad except that it will be paid for in 5 months. Thanks again for the pics and captions.

Thanks, I hadn't realized Hybrids had come this far. Did you catch the tank sizes?

Same thought crossed my mind. I only hope that somehow those wires coil up either outboard or inboard of the guide bracket, and that the coils don't sag to the ground. I did not see a unit with the slideouts retracted, so I can't definitively answer the question.

Yours has a slideout - how is the arrangement different and where do your wires go?

Thanks for the reminder. I will update the Specs table in a few minutes, based on what I gathered from the sites on the Internet. The should be 30 /36 /30 black, fresh and grey respectively.

I an hoping that these photos tide those who can't see one in person over until they can.

I suspect that some folk are already shut down for the season and must do their rving vicariously online.
