We have a Greystone fireplace in our Bighorn 3685. The glass on the inside is very dirty. I BELIEVE to get the glass out I have to take the trim around the fireplace off to get to the screws. Has anyone removed the fireplace by removing the fake wood trim piece. Would have to take off a piece of trim I can't get to stay back on. My Greystone manual does not tell me how to remove the glass for cleaning. Thanks.
Ours has the wood trim pin nailed to the fireplace opening. I pried it off with a stiff putty knife to get at the screws to take the glass out to clean. I put the trim back on with Velcro so I could get at it easier the next time.
Is it just dust on the inside of the glass? Maybe a can of compressed air sprayed in the vents with a vacuum by the other vent. I'm going to have to look at mine and see if the fireplace even comes apart.
As far as the trim,if you can get it off, liquid nails will hold it when you reinstall it.
Other half is camping with the angels,Riding alone for now.
