Does anyone have a great place to park a 36' Class A for the Rose Bowl Parade. I am open to anything, maybe an RV park at some distance but along a bus route. We'd be coming from Phoenix and can be there a day or so early. Any ideas? Thanks.

For optimum parking, I'd suggest getting there 2 days early!

Official RV Parking

Sharp Seating

There are a TON of private lots and spaces available too! It depends on how early you're going to get there!

Work backwards from seats available at Sharp Seating. Having a reserved seat sure beats hanging out on a sidewalk from noon on the 31st. There are also packages from tour companies around Disneyland in Anaheim that provide the bus and seats. RV parking along the route is expensive, real small spaces and dry. I don't know about public transportation to and from the parade route but some may be listed on the Pasadena web site. It was fun a couple of years in high school decorating a float and then sitting out in the cold waiting for the parade to start. The last time friends came out to visit and see the parade we got reserved parking near our seats and it worked out very well. Not cheap but a good way to go. Enjoy the parade in person as no big screen TV can do it justice.

I've been to the parade twice. Not in our coach though.

I'd be really surprised if you can get any RV parking near the parade route this late.

We had to book our rooms on the parade route a year in advance and prepay three nights at inflated prices.

You might be able to reserve for next year.

Well worth the effort though, especially the night before the parade when everyone camps out on the route.

We are not doing it this year, but in the years past we pull into Pasadena at noon or so the day before and cruise the neighborhoods to the East if Sierra Madre north of the 210 fwy. We park on the street and then stake out our spot along the parade route. Not difficult to get within 3 rows of the blue line.

Giant party atmosphere.

Yep, East Pasadena is full of sites (private lots and such)

The blue line is the line they paint in the street to stakeout seating ahead of time.

Thanks, WoodGlue and everyone else, for this helpful information. The
Rose Parade is our Winter Trip destination for next year. Looks like
reserved seating and parking is the best way to go for us.

Does anyone have recommendations for an RV park within driving distance?
State or local park, maybe? Preferably with electric.

The closest parks would probably be in Pomona/San Dimas area:

Pomona RV Parks

or San Dimas;

San Dimas RV Park

and KOA:

KOA near San Dimas

You might consider booking an inexpensive hotel/motel room in East Pasadena and parking the RV there!! If only for 1 night!

Hope this info helps!

Best place to park for the parade...2000 miles away in a nice campground and a good TV.

Thanks, WoodGlue. That helps alot.

Staying in hotels makes me feel like I'm cheating on my camper.
