I have one like it called a Powerstar that I bought over 8 years ago for $99.00,I keep 2 spark plugs for it and clean and switch between them after running.Mine is rated at 1200w peak and runs 800w steady.I use it in the boonies mostly on my B.I can go up to 8hrs a tank but mostly 4-6 hours.Mine will run the microwave but not the AC.Once I ruined a starter recoil but found parts here in the US for it.Im pretty happy with it.

Well you might say I made my money back with my HF800w. I used it to run my concentrator gold sluice and found almost 2 grams of gold. I sold the gold at camp for more than I paid for the Genny. It runs my recirc pump just fine.
It charges batteries, coach lights, DVD TV. It's fine for the small stuff.

Does it vibrate the gold up out of the ground for you?!!! LOL Sorry I couldn`t resist.

I agree there is nothing wrong with a cheap generator used with common sense. one of these days I will need to buy one!

Color me impressed. Now, that is perhaps as close as one can come to the ideal use for one of those ET800 units. Now that is what I call getting maximum usage out of something bought.

In the HF flyer the other day it was now on SALE for $129 and stated regular price was $179. They labeled it NEW item. Unless it is now a 4 stroke the only thing I saw different was it is painted RED instead of Blue.

Did not check out the specs but I expect HF is feeling the impact of China inflation rate.
