Why dump dish pan water in the black tank? I know some people are more aware of the ecology than others, but IMHO that seems a bit extreme when you are trying to maximise tank space to begin with. Don't think a little dish soap and food scraps will kill off anything.

LOL...we boondock a lot - a week or two in one place. We fill up the grey tank faster (showers) than the black tank so to conserve space in the grey tank, we empty the dish water into the black tank. Many boondockers use this practice. Also, we don't believe in dumping our grey water on the ground. We dump at dump stations.
