Electric blanket. The memory foam topper will get warm under you as soon as you get warmed up. I often wake when whatever is facing "up" is cold,and whatever is down is warm from the foam topper, so an electric blanket would stop that. Just keep on low all night long.
We also have the 2 inch memory foam pad. We use the electric blanket,and it keeps me very warm. I'm also on blood thinners and I understand. I even use the blanket at times in Colorado in the summer.

We have a mattress pad. Love it. Takes the chill off before we go to bed. Have had it for a couple of years with no problems. Got it at K-Mart . Nothing fancy.
