Here's a pic of my Kountry Aire and my tow vehicle.
I never felt comfortable that the Jeep's brakes could stop my 20,000# trailer in the mountains though, so I've since upgraded to a slightly larger tow vehicle, which I have in storage now for the winter so don't have a picture of it to show.

Well you could have beefed up the suspension wth some springs and put some airbags on it. Oh and for the record the tv brakes stop the tv and trailer brakes stop the trailer so maybe you just needed to adjust the brakes on the trailer. That jeep should be just fine towing your country aire.

This is from a number of years ago. 1996 Dodge 1/2 ton 4X4 with a 5.7L and a 1987 29 ft Kountry Aire. Pulled that across the Rockies several times, both coasts, a couple of trips to Big Bend, and several trips from IL to the Gulf Coast.
Camped in every state but Alaska

Maybe this?

I pulled the same Springdale with my '06 RAM 1500 Hemi. No pictures because I just upgraded to 2012 RAM 2500 Cummins HD. No problems with the 1500. We are planning a 3 month cross country trip and wanted something newer for the long ride.

Not a camping weekend. It was a camping week. April in WI. They were calling for a couple of inches of rain. Woke up the next morning and this is what they called rain in April. That picture was taken about 7 AM. Kept it up all day and then just "showers" overnight. By the next morning we had over a foot of WI "rain".
Can't tell it from the picture but the pickup was maroon. You can see the lawn chairs under the awning. The night before we'd sat around a fire. Temps were in the upper 40s. The cold front was suppose to stay north of us but it dropped south, obviously.
