OK, been back and forth between FW and TH. Found a FW I really like online, Wildcat 312BHX. And an even better price from RVW. (from MSRP of $45k to $27K+delivery -yikes).
What are your must haves in a FW? What can we not live without? I need to stay in this price range. But I don't want to pull the trigger if this FW is missing something.
Then I need to go find a good deal on a F350 (diesel right)
Dry Weight 8220lbs
GVWR 11720lbs
Cargo Capacity 3441lbs
Hitch Weight 1560lbs
Exterior Length 33.33'

Only you know what you must have. Areas to decide what you need are how much storage, do you like the kirchen, the location of the TV, the layout of the bathroom.
IMHO, you don't necessarily need a F350. The specs you quoted can be easily handled by most F250/2500HDs.

#1 priority (after knowing you have enough truck for your choice) is to make sure you can get to the toilet with the slides closed, secondarily access to the refrigerator with slides closed is handy as well.
The size of the shower and being able to stand upright in the bedroom would be other basic considerations.
The DW might have something to say about counter space.

Do yourself a favor, go with the F350/3500 trucks. That way when you get the FW loaded, you have some wiggle room with weights. OH, and it will come in handy when you buy the first one, find other things you want and then buy a bigger one!!!!

I'm on my first fifth wheel and the 4 point leveling system is GREAT!!
If I ever buy another fifth wheel that will be a must have. Once I get it in the spot, just drop the legs, press a button and move on to hooking hoses, power cords and the rest of the stuff and it's done by the time I finish.

Over a period of 10 years we have added must haves. In that period we have owned 6 different units. The current unit is the one we will stick with for some time. It's a Cameo and has the 4 point leveler. Great additaion. Something else we added was a water softner. We are in areas of hard water. This is a great addition. Our next addition is a generator that will run the entire trailer. We have it bought just need to get to Amarillo to install. Also when we are in Texas must have the 2nd A/C. It was installed last fall. It just takes time to realize what you must have. Right now not sure what that will be.

If this is not include on my FW of choice (whatever it turns out to be), can these be added?
