My new to me 08 Bounder 33ft came with the Banks Power System, whole kit from air inlet to the exhaust going out the side, however searching on this forum many say its a waste of money for the newer V-10, the salesman told me he could tell it had more power from stock since he drives a lot of motorhomes for his job, the system never cost me a penny since the 1st owner did the upgrade and no price was added to motorhome at time of sale.

However I will have to say it has a ton of power, climbs hills here in the West like its a flat road, never own a V-10 motorhome, just a small 26ft with the GM 8.1, so I have no comparison but it weights 5000lbs more than my older 02 motorhome but has tons more power.

So has anyone installed this system on your newer V-10 and did it increase power or just made your wallet lighter..

I would like to know this as well. I have an 07 and the exhaust may need repairing in the next few years. Didn't know it would be worth looking at Banks or stock when the time comes.

I am just seeing what other owners say about it, as far as I am concerned it works, my newer 33ft weights 5000lbs more and has much more power than my older 26ft motorhome with the 8.1, sure says a lot about the 8.1.

I have a V-10, but for now will keep mine in the Bank instead of the Banks.

Yea I know all about salesman's and there lies, he was just saying how it had good power over the stock V-10 motorhomes he drives often, as for me the Banks system was free because it was installed by the 1st owner.

What would be the best performance chip to go along with the Banks system, or would a computer flash as some have stated on other threads..

I thought that was part of the Banks system, reprogramming to make effective use of the other parts installed?

I am not sure what was involved since I did not have the system installed, I do know there was a programmer that came with the Banks system but it was not in the motorhome, 1st owner either kept it or someone got to it.

Does anyone know what the programmer did and is it worth buying a new one from Banks.
