I've been camping a long time. Had many different types of rigs. We are now approaching retirement, and have bought another Class A. We hope to do much longer trips when our schedule is no longer driven by work. Obviously will need to take more things since we might be gone for months per trip.

I've compiled a list of things we are now taking. This might be helpful for those working on their own list. For you full-timers, I'd appreciate any feedback on the list, or even a copy of yours.

Thanks!

Where's the beer and wine?

One thing we seem we can NEVER keep in the camper, and we are not "full timing", is pencil and paper, or notepads and ink-pens. Seems every time we need to write something down, there is never any paper or pencil anywhere.

Oh, like anyone would forget beer & wine! I just added ADULT BEVERAGES.

Notebook and pencil. I usually do carry these, but occasionally forget. Just added.

Also added owner's manuals as well. We got a large binder with loads of info in it. I've been adding to it as we modify the rig, or add new hardware.

Thanks for the input!

Do you have pets? If you do, make sure you add their shot records. We have 2 dogs and a cat. All are up on their vet shots. We keep their shot records and certificates in the camper all the time, since we park the camper at home when not traveling. That way, whenever we go anywhere with the camper, their records are always with us.

Also, if you have pets, remember to add pet-food and pet-supplies.

um... I didn't see "wife" on your list either? ... [emoticon] is that a subtle message? [emoticon]

The list is good, but you appear to have some duplication:

beach chairs and folding chairs
lantern, portable cfl light, and flashlights
garage towels and shop rags.

I would reorg your list according to item type (all stoves/grills, etc) and look to see what you can eliminate. Every little space helps.

If either of you have sensitive skin, make sure you bring your preffered laundry detergent - you may not find that brand when you head to the laundromat. [emoticon]

As fulltimers, there's a lot of items on your list that are always on board our coach anyway, and several others that either don't apply or are combined under one entry, so our list would be a lot shorter.
