Question about wheel linners

Greetings fellow RV'ers 1fanman here with a question, on our trip to Myrtle Beach (Ocean Lakes) I managed to lose my right rear wheel liner, went to Camping World to get a new one and was told I would have to buy the entire set, couldn't just buy one. do any of you by chance know where I can buy one liner, hate to spend $408.00 plus shipping for three more than I need. I would appreciate any replies. Thanks again for your help. 1fanman AKA Del

RE: Destination: Myrtle Beach - Suggestions?

There really are no bad choices in MB. Our favorite is Ocean Lakes. They have loads of amenities and an indoor pool, which is terrific this time of year. It's a short drive from there to South MB, Murrell's Inlet or Surfside, where there are loads of eateries and things to do. X2 we stay at Ocean Lakes every year and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.JMHO of course

RE: towing 2003 saturn L200

Roadrunner, I found out the hard way about pulling the fuses. If your battery is good and you are only going to tow for one day, don't pull them. Over one day I would pull them, I didn't and it drained the battery. When you leave the ignition key in the "accessory" position (so that the steering is not locked) and with the fuses in it puts a pretty good drain on the battery. With the fuses out the drain is minimal. X2 I had the same problem with battery drain, then decided maybe pulling the fuses was a better idea.

RE: Just how fast...???

I wouldn't even try to disconnect! X2 I would get everyone out of rv and let it burn. X3... X4, that is why we all carry insurance, material things can be replaced, loosing a loved one can't.

RE: Saturn toads

The switch wiring is easy. Remove the fuse that needs to be pulled, chip enough plastic from the top of the fuse to expose the metal on each side of the fuse, solder a wire, 14 guage is fine, to each side of the fuse, then touch each wire to one pole of a battery, positive and negative, to blow the fuse. Put the circuit breaker, I used a push-pull type of the appropriate size, in between the two wires, replace the now-blown fuse and put the circuit breaker in an hidden location. Use a circuit breaker the same size of the fuse, or you can use an on/off switch instead with an appropriate size fuse in the line. That is exactly how I did it and haven't had any issues since, just flip a switch and you are on your way.

RE: Saturn toads

They are not a heavy vehicle, so they are easy to tow; all except the ION can be towed 4-down without modification, put it in neutral and go. I tow a 2006 ION 3 four down and all is required is to pull a fuse which I quickly installed a toggle switch so I wouldn't have to keep pulling the fuse. I have towed it thousands and thousands of miles without any issues.

RE: Bathroom door

Howdy fellow RV'ers, 1fanman here with a question, on my bounder I have a two piece folding door, my question is, can any of you tell me how to keep the door closed when the unit is in use, when you turn the overhead vent on it sucks the doors open, not bad if it is just me and the DW but when guest are in for a visit it can be embarrassing. I have thought about having the double folding doors replaced but find that isn't cost effective. Any solutions to this issue will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again and happy camping. 1fanman/aka Del That is the bath room door I am speaking of

RE: Good Grief

I just did a search for something that I had posted a while back. Turns out that I have posted some form of deathless prose over 1,100 times since joining. I think I'll go shopping today to see if I can find a life. :B You know I have had a lot of Grief in my life time but can't say any of it was "Good Grief":h

RE: DVR for the MH

IF you hae a dome, and are willing to restrict yourself to a SINGLE SATELLITE, and the dome has dual output. then a 625 will work. Most modern domes will work with two satellites, i.e. Dish 110 & 119. While searching the dome finds both and "parks" at the sat. that is currently requested by the channel tuned to. If you select a channel on the other sat., it rotates to the other satellite. If you are feeding two receivers from the dome, you must both watch channels that are on the same sat. Don I am trying to install the VIP 622/511/512 and the all three have a two satellite connection, I am using the splitter that came with them but when I connect the satellite to the receiver all I get is no signal so I am not sure whether I am doing something wrong or the receivers just won't work. The reason is because you can only use the separetors with a DISH PRO PLUS dish. To get the dvr to work you would have to run a second cable from the dome. Then you would plug each cable into the receiver and take the seperator off. But just remember you can only see one satellite at a time with a dome. Whether recording or watching tv, Well thanks for the inputs, so back to the drawing board or just be thankful for what I have. Thanks to everyone that responded to my posting.1fanman/aka Del
