RE: Memorial Day weekend, where will you be?

We'll be at home on "Grandbaby" watch. DIL is expecting number 3 and Grandma isn't going anywhere until the new arrival is here.

RE: Amarillo Tx and Commerce city Co

Ft. Amarillo is another option. Try searching Rvparkreviews.com. You can use it to find any RV parks in Commerce City and links to nearby places with Rv parks.

RE: Texas to Yellowstone - Two Questions

Where are you starting from in Texas? We've just north of Ft. Worth and go up US287 and connect with I25. We time it to hit Denver on the weekend to avoid as much traffic as possible. Have you got reservations at Yellowstone or are you taking your chances on finding a spot? Going in the south entrance is a pretty easy drive. You will have some grades once you get in the park. Make sure you spend some time at Grand Teton NP, don't just drive by.

RE: Can you Recommend GRAPEVINE TX RV PARK

I'd go to rvparkreviews.com and search. It's an easy to find what's at/around your target location.

RE: Fly into Ouray/Silverton/Durango, Rent RV ???

I'd google "RV rentals" in Colorado and see what comes up. Then you can have a better idea of your options.

RE: Fort Worth on the way north

There is a lot to do in Cowtown. Kimball, Amon Carter, and Sid Richardson art museums are all free. Ft. Worth Botanical Garden is free also and beautiful. South of DFW airport is the American Airlines Museum and one can always tour Cowboy Stadium for a fee. There is supposed to be a RV Park west of downtown Ft. Worth. I've never driven by, so I can't comment on it.

Not even close, Yellowstone. Probably been there over 25 times between vacations and weekend trips when we lived in Montana. It's always changing.

RE: Need comments on Open Range trailers

We have a 2013 that we bought last June. Been happy with it so far. First big trip was 3 weeks in Colorado and on to Nebraska to visit family. Everything worked as it was sopposed to. Real happy with the fit and finish.

RE: Pullrite super 5th wheel hitch

Go to the Pullrite website, I think there's a chart showing how to measure each brand of truck to tell if you need a slider hitch. I have an '06 F250 and 2013 Open Range RF337RLS and even though it has a tapered front I still need a slider. It just depends on the truck and 5th wheel.

RE: Opinion on 5th wheel louverd tailgates

I got mine for the convenience while hitching up and unhooking. I had to lower the factory tailgate for both operations because the kingpin wouldn't clear unless I extended landing gear almost all the way. In addition, I couldn't open or close the the front compartment door if the tailgate was down.

RE: Q: Texas State Parks Pass

One year from date of purchase. If you have a favorite park buy it there and the park keeps the funds for their budget.

RE: Texas State Parks

You're talking about finding a spot right in the middle of spring break. Most if not all state parks will be full. The only thing you can do is call the reservation center daily to check on cancellations. Sites aren't held back for those without reservations.
