Sad day ... winter camping (for us) is drawing to a close, and it's time for spring cleaning. The annual 'project list' must be attended to. Appalling! Yet, getting all those things done is appealing! So, the TC came off today.

Spott ... I enjoyed the article the first time, but even more on a re-read. I liked Kims' comment: "Not many people are out exploring the Upper Peninsula in the winter. You practically have the whole place to yourself. It’s untouched nature, and there is so much to do up there." I guess winter in the back-roads is like that ... peaceful and untouched.

ticki2 ... you might want to do the same. That kayak does look amazing!
Eycom ... Winter camping is indeed cool (pun intended). I'll bet Raften (below) even has low temps at night.
River&Sand ... mid 40's might get ya'all shivering after a 70+ day. Whattya think?

gorohoff ... now that's what we're talking about! Very nice - camping right at the end of a run. I'll bet this is what mark_be wants to do.
Raften ... now tell us, what does the temp get down to? Used to live in the high desert - and it was chilly in the winter! Although, you're from Northern California? Maybe that pic is up near Shasta? If so ... you know winters!
