RE: Generator ?s

Its a Generac generator. They build them in Wisconsin. They build the motor too. As you see in the picture it is bolted to the bed of the truck. It runs off the truck batteries. To be honest with you I don't remember how much I payed for it. But it was more then $2000.00 I just bought a stand by generator for our house. It runs on natural gas. It too was built by Generac. We bought it at Lowes. It will run the whole house. It is 20k watts.

RE: Generator ?s

http://mountainmaster.net/65genbox54amp.html This is the one I went with. I tried the two Honda 2000. While they worked I needed them to run all night to run my c-pap machine. I had to buy an out board motor gas tank so they would not run out of gas before morning. With this generator I can run my rig just like we had a shore line when we boon dock. http://mountainmaster.net/65genbox54amp.html

RE: Front landing gear won't go up ?

When I try to lower the jacks (to raise the trailer) the motor sounds like it's under a load. When I try to raise the jacks the motor sound changes but it doesn't sound like it's free wheeling. This one has me stumped. I might have to call coach net and have it towed to my dealer. Coach Net is one of the best things I bought.

Front landing gear won't go up ?

I have a 2006 Cedar creek silver back. I have the level up system installed. All jacks are hydraulic. Four of the six jacks are up. The slides work. The front landing gear was changed from electric to hydraulic when the level up was installed. Five years ago I took the fiver to the factory in Goshen Ind. to have the level up installed. It has worked fine till now. All this started last week when checking the rig I discovered that my on board charger had failed. I used my battery tender to bring the batteries up(6 six volt batteries). It took two days with that little 1 amp charger. The batteries still aren't fully charged but there was enough to raise the four jacks and check the slides. When I hit the rocker switch to raise the front landing gear the motor works fine. The fluid level in the reservoir is where it's supposed to be. Yesterday the rocker switch for the front landing gear only worked in the down position. This morning I sprayed some WD-40 on it and now it works in both positions. But the front jacks won't move. The only way I can raise the front jacks off the ground is to put 90# of air in the trucks rear air bags.:E I don't know what else to check or do to get the front gear up. I hope I don't have to call road service. I'm at home and the rig is in my drive way.

RE: Batteries almost dead

I did not put these in. I had my dealer put them in. It was all done the correct way. There is a 60 amp buss fuse between the batteries and the panel. I called my dealer and he said I could get a jump to retract the landing legs (all six of them). I have the fiver hitched up and ready to go to the dealer. All I have to do is call Coach Net for a jump. I'LL let that go till Monday. Retirement is good, tomorrow or the next day. What ever.

I have a volt meter but I don't know where the charger is on my rig?

Batteries almost dead

I have a 2006 cedar creek fifth wheel. I have 6 six volt interstate golf cart batteries. I have a volt meter that says 5.57 volts. I leave the shore line connected all the time. I keep checking the water level and add distilled water as needed. I think my on board charger is not working. No 12 volt lights work or the slides and landing gear. I have a 12 volt battery tender. Can I use that to charge the batteries. If so how do I hook it up to the bank of 6 volt batteries. I have to get my six hydraulic jacks up to bring it to the dealer. The batteries are as old as the trailer.

Problem with Firefox start up

I just got a new lap top. Dell with windows 8. It was pre loaded with IE. I used IE to find FF and download.(V 19) When I first boot up FF it won't load my home page. I have to type in the web page address every time I boot up. It says the encription is not right. I book marked my home page so I don't have to type it in all the time I could go to dell tech support but would like to try this way first. Also I can't get a tool bar installed. I tried to install a Verizon tool bar and it doesn't show up when down load is finished.:? A google tool bar does not work with FF. Should I uninstall FF and down load it again?

How do you wipe a hard drive ?

My seven year old Dell desk top died. What is the safest way to wipe the hard drive before I get rid of it ?

Defective ink cartridge

I have an HP 1200 printer. I replaced the ink cartridge with the refilled one's. They worked fine for a while. Now the printer keeps saying to check the ink cartridge and the only way to turn off the printer is to unplug it. I have removed and put the cartridge's back in with no change. I guess I will have to buy new one's ?

Looks like I'LL be getting a new appliance

I went to my doctor today. He said I have a left bundle branch block. My pulse is only 56. I guess that's why I have no energy. I did some research on the net and the treatment for it is a pacemaker. The doctor didn't say anything about a pacemaker. That's just what i found on the net for treatment for this. My mother had one and my brother and my mother in law. So I guess it's my turn. My doctor is having me get a stress test. I can't do the tread mill so I get the chemical stress test. My legs aren't up to the job because of having polio as a child.Plus I had my left knee replaced June of 2012. A new knee,a pacemaker and hearing aid's i am getting close to the six million dollar man.:W I bet the doctor's just love it when patent's go on the internet and self diagnose.

For the Ladies, Please read

Please read and send this on, you could save a life. Thank you A Nurse's Best Description of a Female`s Heart Attack Every one should read this... Nurse has heart attack and describes what women feel when having one: NURSE'S HEART ATTACK EXPERIENCE I am an ER nurse and this is the best description of this event that I have ever heard. Please read, pay attention, and send it on! FEMALE HEART ATTACKS I was aware that female heart attacks are different, but this is the best description I've ever read. Women rarely have the same dramatic symptoms that men have ... you know, the sudden stabbing pain in the chest, the cold sweat, grabbing the chest & dropping to the floor that we see in movies. Here is the story of one woman's experience with a heart attack. I had a heart attack at about 10:30 PM with NO prior exertion, NO prior emotional trauma that one would suspect might have brought it on. I was sitting all snugly & warm on a cold evening, with my purring cat in my lap, reading an interesting story my friend had sent me, and actually thinking, 'A-A-h, this is the life, all cozy and warm in my soft, cushy Lazy Boy with my feet propped up. A moment later, I felt that awful sensation of indigestion, when you've been in a hurry and grabbed a bite of sandwich and washed it down with a dash of water, and that hurried bite seems to feel like you've swallowed a golf ball going down the esophagus in slow motion and it is most uncomfortable. You realize you shouldn't have gulped it down so fast and needed to chew it more thoroughly and this time drink a glass of water to hasten its progress down to the stomach. This was my initial sensation--the only trouble was that I hadn't taken a bite of anything since about 5:00 p.m. After it seemed to subside, the next sensation was like little squeezing motions that seemed to be racing up my SPINE (hind-sight, it was probably my aorta spasms), gaining speed as they continued racing up and under my sternum (breast bone, where one presses rhythmically when administering CPR). This fascinating process continued on into my throat and branched out into both jaws. 'AHA!! NOW I stopped puzzling about what was happening -- we all have read and/or heard about pain in the jaws being one of the signals of an MI happening, haven't we? I said aloud to myself and the cat, Dear God, I think I'm having a heart attack! I lowered the foot rest dumping the cat from my lap, started to take a step and fell on the floor instead. I thought to myself, If this is a heart attack, I shouldn't be walking into the next room where the phone is or anywhere else... but, on the other hand, if I don't, nobody will know that I need help, and if I wait any longer I may not be able to get up in a moment. I pulled myself up with the arms of the chair, walked slowly into the next room and dialed the Paramedics... I told her I thought I was having a heart attack due to the pressure building under the sternum and radiating into my jaws. I didn't feel hysterical or afraid, just stating the facts. She said she was sending the Paramedics over immediately, asked if the front door was near to me, and if so, to un-bolt the door and then lie down on the floor where they could see me when they came in. I unlocked the door and then laid down on the floor as instructed and lost consciousness, as I don't remember the medics coming in, their examination, lifting me onto a gurney or getting me into their ambulance, or hearing the call they made to St. Jude ER on the way, but I did briefly awaken when we arrived and saw that the radiologist was already there in his surgical blues and cap, helping the medics pull my stretcher out of the ambulance. He was bending over me asking questions (probably something like 'Have you taken any medications?') but I couldn't make my mind interpret what he was saying, or form an answer, and nodded off again, not waking up until the Cardiologist and partner had already threaded the teeny angiogram balloon up my femoral artery into the aorta and into my heart where they installed 2 side by side stints to hold open my right coronary artery. I know it sounds like all my thinking and actions at home must have taken at least 20-30 minutes before calling the paramedics, but actually it took perhaps 4-5 minutes before the call, and both the fire station and St Jude are only minutes away from my home, and my Cardiologist was already to go to the OR in his scrubs and get going on restarting my heart (which had stopped somewhere between my arrival and the procedure) and installing the stents. Why have I written all of this to you with so much detail? Because I want all of you who are so important in my life to know what I learned first hand. 1. Be aware that something very different is happening in your body, not the usual men's symptoms but inexplicable things happening (until my sternum and jaws got into the act). It is said that many more women than men die of their first (and last) MI because they didn't know they were having one and commonly mistake it as indigestion, take some Maalox or other anti-heartburn preparation and go to bed, hoping they'll feel better in the morning when they wake up... which doesn't happen. My female friends, your symptoms might not be exactly like mine, so I advise you to call the Paramedics if ANYTHING is unpleasantly happening that you've not felt before. It is better to have a 'false alarm' visitation than to risk your life guessing what it might be! 2. Note that I said 'Call the Paramedics.' And if you can take an aspirin. Ladies, TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE! Do NOT try to drive yourself to the ER - you are a hazard to others on the road. Do NOT have your panicked husband who will be speeding and looking anxiously at what's happening with you instead of the road. Do NOT call your doctor -- he doesn't know where you live and if it's at night you won't reach him anyway, and if it's daytime, his assistants (or answering service) will tell you to call the Paramedics. He doesn't carry the equipment in his car that you need to be saved! The Paramedics do, principally OXYGEN that you need ASAP. Your Dr. will be notified later. 3. Don't assume it couldn't be a heart attack because you have a normal cholesterol count. Research has discovered that a cholesterol elevated reading is rarely the cause of an MI (unless it's unbelievably high and/or accompanied by high blood pressure). MIs are usually caused by long-term stress and inflammation in the body, which dumps all sorts of deadly hormones into your system to sludge things up in there. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know the better chance we could survive. A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this mail sends it to 10 people, you can be sure that we'll save at least one life. *Please be a true friend and send this article to all your friends (male & female) who you care about!* =

Buying First Class A

We are think about trading in the fifth wheel and truck for a Winnebago 35F. List price is $133,477.00. I don't know if offering 35% off list would be a low ball or an insult. This is a 2013 model. They have a used (not a left over) 2012 35F they want $99,000.00. They don't list the mileage for the 2012. I'm thinking I could get the 2012 for $80,000.00 with my trade.:h

RE: Compact Tractors

Here is some food for thought. MADE IN THE USA. According to John Ratzenberger, host of the Travel Channel series "Made in America", Deere & Company never repossessed any equipment from American farmers during the Great Depression. This was revealed during the shows profile of Deere & Company. The company even expanded into the bicycle business briefly during the 1890s, but the core focus of the company remained on agricultural implements. Increased competition during the early 1900s from the new International Harvester Company led the company to expand its offerings in the implement business, but it was the production of gasoline tractors which would come to define Deere & Company's operations during the twentieth century. Since International Harvester had been purchased by the John Deere company I'm sure the same policy of not repossessing tractors was applied also. gatita_63109 Source(s): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deere

Trade in Value ??

Does anyone have a link to a site that will tell me what my fifth wheel is worth. I'm looking for trade in value not resale. When I go to NADA for RV'S all I get is a value for selling it my self. I need to know what I can get for a trade in value. We are giving up rving and want to trade the truck and trailer for a 2013 Ford F150 King Ranch. It's easy to find the trade in value for the truck. But I can't seem to find a site that will give a trade in value for the fifth wheel.???

Question for those with 3.5 Ecoboost

I have a 2006 F350 6.0 diesel. The biggest problem I ever had with this truck was with the turbo. I don't use the truck enough and the turbo gets rusty. I don't know if it's because it's a diesel or not being used enough. The dealer had to clean it twice. Are the turbo's on the 3.5 the same or are they made different so they won't rust? I'm going to trade in the F350 for a 2013 F150. Right now I'm leaning towards a 5.0 because I don't want to deal with the turbo rust. I won't be towing any more.
