why does the ladder need to be that long? you have to lower the beds to use them and it would seem that the 66" ladders would be long enough at that point? Or is there enough room to use the bed when they are all the way up?

I'm not sure where the OP ordered from, but I upgraded to 17.5" wheels and tires as well about a month ago and I got mine here. I went with the Hispec Series 03 (polished) wheels and Cooper tires. I am very happy with the new setup and the service was great.

And of course in addition to all the good recommendations above, I will throw mine into the mix...upgrade to 17.5" rims and tires. I realize it is the most expensive option, but it is also the best option for these heavy trailers. I recently upgraded mine and I couldn't be happier... peace of mind and the trailer seems to be more stable while rolling down the road.
