RE: Hey good folks, I need advice.......

I recently purchased a viewfinder made by cruiser gives you a high end look without the price tag I have had no major issues with build quality they are pretty light considering the size might be worth looking into I think you will find for the most part mfg try and do a good build for the money you are spending

RE: I popped a chain link

My experience with chains is pulling on frames of cars I Can tell you this they do not like to be twisted even the littlest bit I have blown two chains in my eleven year career and they go off with deadly force my guess is that the chain had a slight twist when set up and did not carry the load I think if you were improperly setup the brackets would have bent

RE: Driving Advice

This is a great thread I just came back from a 6 1/2 hour ride to williamsburg va as others have stated you will feel the push and pull of big rigs and buses just relax and slight tension on the wheel away from them, take your time a good set of mirrors makes a nice difference when making lane changes I usually put on my blinker and let it blink for about 10 to 15 seconds most cars driving beside me would speed up and alot of people would flash there high beams to let me know it was safe to enter there lane which I though was awesome I would then say thank you with a quick flick of my hazards. I found it helpful to stop every couple of hours and just walk and stretch I would also change my lumbar settings from time to time just to keep the seat feeling fresh. before heading out check the tire pressures and make sure the lugs are nice and snug and enjoy the trip

RE: Huge mistake on water damaged hybrid purchase???

Bill Don't beat your self up to bad it happens the key is you found the problem now it is time to fix it and fix it right my recommendation would be to get a roll of eterna bond tape and apply to the seams of the roof, also be sure to check your running lights as they are a commonly over looked place when people are checking there caulking. As far as the camper being "done" as you put it I would have to disagree depending on the extent of the damage and just how soft everything is. If I were in your shoes I would see if i can pull out the cabinet and get a look behind it if that is possible post some pics you will get some great opinions and advice around here

RE: 2013 Cruiser Rv-Shadow Cruiser 260BHS

Don I have experience with the manufacturer I have a viewfinder 28rlss I would say I am pretty happy so far I will warn you no new RV will be perfect or at least this has been my experience I have found one of my windows to be leaking and needed some extra caulk and my speakers were wired backwards. maybe a couple of other minor things. If you are buying new these would all be things covered by your warranty. I consider myself pretty handy and take care of these things myself PM me if you have any questions

RE: what can i tow with my chevy trailblazer

skip the pop up and look at a small hybrid preferably with out a slide it will keep your weight down pulled a little 17 ft hybrid for years with my envoy pulled like a dream and it was nice having a bathroom the pop ups are just a tent in a box and I look back and wish I just started with a hybrid

RE: Tricks with a Tankless Water Heater

I believe water waste is the big issue with these type heaters. I personally never dry camp and am very interested in the heaters performance as far as water pressure vs heat out put. Unfortunately you will not be getting hot water unless there is water running through the heater the flip side of that coin is you are not wasting propane heating water that is just sitting in a tank.

RE: Towing capacity

William if you do head to the dealer tomorrow don't but anything without doing your homework or come back to the forums for some opinions dealers will sell you anything and are mainly concerned with how much money they can make the people on these forms want to see you and your family making great memories in a nice safe package there are a lot of people on here that have either towed or tow with mini vans there rigs tend to be on the smaller side or a nice size pop up

RE: Towing capacity

William I see one trailer that meets the description that you have given and that is a m31ds it has a dry weight of 6980 that would be what the trailer weighs empty with no water propane, a/c, awning, or any of the other stuff you may put inside the trailer. If your wife was gifted this trailer how about trading it in and getting something smaller that you could safely tow?

RE: Towing capacity

William I think a tow setup like this is a death trap the members on this forum will be more then happy to help you decide on a tow vehicle that will pull that trailer safely but we need more info what year and model is the palomino??

RE: Towing with a 2008 Tahoe rated at 7200 pounds

I have to ask does the 08 Tahoe come with the 6spd trans it makes a hell of a difference I don't have a Tahoe but i towed my current rig 5500 loaded with a Envoy denali which has the 5.3 and a 4spd. to what I am towing with now a 08 sierra denali with a 6spd and the difference is incredible granted the sierra has a 6.2 in it but I never felt the envoy to be short on power it was always trying to figure out what gear to leave it in
