A flatbar will get you inside of any RV, hardsided or not, within 20 seconds. Hybrids are no more or less secure than any other type of camper.

We stayed in October 2011. About $70 per night. The folks who pay $135 during the busy season do so because they can afford it.

Eldon Hazlett State Park near Carlyle, Il. Beautiful lake. Also on the same lake is Coles Creek with full hookups. We make at least one yearly trip. Park is about 2 1/2 hours south of you.

Parking in a box store parking lot exposes your RV to much more foot traffic and many types of individuals rarely seen in a campground.

Yes, we cut out templates and made reflectix inserts for the bunk ends and side screens. Made a very noticable difference in hot weather.

About 16 days in the fall. If you love that kind of lifestyle, the type of camper you are in won't make much of a difference.

One in the sig pic pulls just fine. 11mpg on flat ground. Been to the Smokies, Branson Mo, and down to Orlando. Use tow haul mode but it has plenty of power and stops just fine.

Starcraft made the RBH21 up until about 2008 I believe. Had a queen in front, a full size bed on the side and the interior bunks across the rear. No slide.

Our 23SS is 24'7" from rear bumper to tongue. With the bunks open it is 30".

It is all preference. One way doesn't make you more or less anything.
An outdoor kitchen wasn't and won't be very high on our list. Why?
I can cook outside anytime I want. Picnic table and a bbq are about all the basics needed. I don't want to stock two of every condiment or find myself continually running inside and back out because I can't find what I am looking for. Kids are going to grab a snack inside and clutter one kitchen already; don't want to clean two. To those of you who have them, great! Enjoy!

I have been on construction sites most of my life and hate to listen to a generator run. Worse when coupled with the noise of a 5hp wheelbarrow compressor.... So yes, quiet counts.
We use a 7500w gennie open frame contractor style for power outages at home. Runs everything we need thru a transfer switch. I cannot stand to hear it even though it is outside and sheltered. Yamaha 2400 is my preferred unit for RVs, but I am starting to hear more about the Champions and the idea of two 2000 units for the price of one honda 2000 is pretty appealing.

Friend of a friend just picked up a Champion 2000. It would not start up his 13500 AC on his Flagstaff on an 80 degree day. He is going to buy another one and the parallel kit. I believe together they will be less than the one honda.

Ducted ac is more versatile. You can close off or restrict sections of your camper, redirect air flow.

The gutter extensions work fine for us if they fit. Clothespins just snap onto the end of your gutter (or extension) and the water follows along them. Fantastic way to void black streaks. Turn them to adjust for unlevel camper, wind direction, water flow, etc, lol.
