RE: Using external dish hookup

Yes, Winnebago installs both a cable in and a satellite in outlet in your wet bay. My set up is the same.
The sat in goes directly to the receiver compartment with no splitter in that coax line.

Could you use a paper bag? No moisture would condense on paper.

RE: why would you do that?

Why use the parks questionable electric when you have your own 100% safe generator???

RE: Connecting TT to 30a plug on Honda Genny

110v X 20amps = 2200watts
110v X 30amps = 3300watts
Your Honda 2000 is only a 20 amp generator.
Use your 30 to 20 amp pigtail.

RE: material for outdoor window covers

Slick Tom. Can you drive highway speeds with it in place?
Jim
I have never driven with the window cover in place but I'm certain I could. I had window awnings on my old motorhome but decided to get this Sunguard cover rather than an awning for this motorhome. I can leave this cover on when the motorhome is not being used or in storage. I couldn't do this with window awnings.

RE: material for outdoor window covers

I had one made from Sunguard.
You could put an insulation layer on under the snap on Sunguard cover.

RE: Insurance Question

Just received my premium notice for renewal. The company I am currently with has raised the premium 20% with no accidents or moving violations on my part.
Your premium is based on more than "no accidents or moving violations". It is also based on your credit rating. Has your credit rating changed???

RE: Toad choice reconsidered

If you looking for a 5 speed manual transmission you'll have to take the Honda CRV off your list. The CRV is only sold with an automatic transmission in the US.

They all use the same map database.
I use and like my old Garmin Nuvi 255W. I update the maps 4 times a year. I currently have 2014.10 Garmin CN Full North America NT installed.

RE: Tightening Motorhome Lugs

The lug nuts on the W22 and W24 22.5" wheels require 475 lb. ft. torque!
Apparently TCI Tires under torqued them.

RE: Oil Change Viscosity Mistake

Quoting Workhorse's 2006 Gas Chassis Maintenance Guide below (note: the straight SAE 30 comment). Your good as long as it was HD 30W.
"VISCOSITY"
"Engine oil viscosity (thickness) has an effect on fuel economy. Lower viscosity oils can provide better economy; however higher temperature weather conditions require higher viscosity engine oils for satisfactory lubrication. Using any oil viscosity other than those recommended could cause engine damage.
Gasoline Engines – For all temperature ranges the preferred oil for your engine is SAE 5W-30. However, you can use SAE 10W-30 if temperatures stay above 0 degrees F (18 degrees C). For heavy-duty driving in summer temperatures, above 40 degrees F (4 Degrees C), there can be an advantage to a single-viscosity straight SAE 30. Refer to adjacent chart.
Note: SAE 10W-40 has been removed from all Workhorse recommendations."

RE: Rt 15 from Williamsport,PA to Corning, Ny

I used this route 2 or 3 times. It's a surprisingly very good route. Most is a new 4 lane with limited access. Not many grades. No tunnels or low clearances. Buy gas before entering NY. I fueled up in Lawrenceville, PA.

RE: StoreMore Slideout System

The BIG drawback is adding weight to the slide out.
I carry my tools, hoses, electrical cords, parts, spare sat dish, etc in mine. I should be carrying feather pillows and bedding.
