RE: Corrugated or smooth siding. Personal choice?

Having owned both in the past, I personally prefer the aluminum siding. Both fiberglass TTs we owned wound up having delam problems over time where the fiberglass bubbled up, warped, or became wavy.Maybe just bad luck for us but now I'm gun shy when it comes to fiberglass.

RE: Worst Experience Ever with Camping World Service Department

Since you wewre trading the TT in, you would want to remove that oddball hitch away so you could try to sell it.ODDBALL? dont you mean the finest hitch available?

RE: Nissan Frontier V6

that truck has serious tranny problems. it will fail without warning due to radiator falure and coolant entering the tranny. there is a class action law suit which is to late for us. it is a 7K fix once it fails. google it and check it out. there is an aftermarket fix.

RE: Used Diesel Truck

so you only had 120k on one engine and now have 50k on this one so not 170k on one engine. now if you get 400 or 500k on one engine than its worth recomending but not with only 120k. this is the last of the ford diesels i will ever own.
Here's a powerstroke worth mentioning at 506k miles.
BTW... This truck is used at a hot shot. Fuel system and all engine components are original. But its not a 6.4.

RE: Used Diesel Truck

I'm not recommending the 6.4L, just stating facts.
I have driven Ford Super Duty trucks approximately 350,000mi collectively. They get the job done, but if I had any investment in any of the ones I have driven I'd be disappointed.fair enough

RE: Used Diesel Truck

The 06 and newer GM's have a 6 speed automatic. If you can find a 06 - 07 Duramax 3500 in nice shape that fits your budget, buy it. By deleting the emissiion equipment and tuning, a 2008 - 2010 Ford 6.4 can be transformed into a very powerful, fuel effecient and dependable engine. Left stock the 6,4 is horrible on fuel and prone to emission equipment trouble.
I drive a 2008 6.4L PSD. It has 170,000 miles on it. It hasn't given me any emissions issues, otherwise I agree with the rest of your post.
I should add that the 6.4 has a failure prone engine oil cooler that can destroy the entire engine.
Early 6.4s had issues with busting the radiator but Ford has traced the issue to the thermostats, and added a Y pipe in the cooling system so I believe all of those problem children have been sent to reform school.Thats why your profile says no room for fords here lol. I own a 6.4 so i have a hard time with your post. the 6.4 is a problem child unless deleted and tuned. i am on my 3rd radiator and tstats and its leaking again this time it will not get a oem radiator.
My truck is on its third replacement radiator (4th total). This last one was when they replaced the stats at the same time. This last radiator has been in there a long time. It is an OEM. An after market radiator was not available when this last one was installed.
And FWIW, if this truck didn't have the DPF, I'm sure it would be a much better truck. No matter how easy I drive the best average mpg I can get is about 9.5.FWIW I get 14+ towing and 20+ empty on the highway and I have heard of no oil cooler probs just radiator and emission probs and the ocassional injector. I still would not recomend anyone buy one though as they cost an arm and a leg to repair when anything goes wrong.
