RE: 2012 Raptor with Towmasters = BOOOM!!!

Cant believe this is still going............Good for the mods. The last tire thread Dave plucked his eyes out, I'm pretty close. I was going to paint the wall in my den so I could watch paint dry, but figured I'd just watch the grass grow. :P

RE: Voltage 3895 Versus Cyclone 3800

Personally, I don't like the bed going out in the slide. Too many problems with temperature control at the pillow end of the bed.True, but in the summer it can be nice to have those small window, if equipped, in the slide out for a bit of fresh air.

RE: 2006 extreme mega-lite construction

Donny Day and Jim Homburger were the owners of Extreme which was the old KIT towable division, in about 2004 Mark Warmoth bought out Extreme and some type of partnership between the three emerged. When Weekend Warrior collapsed so did Extreme. However, it's now back as Extreme Warrior with three working together once again.

RE: 2006 extreme mega-lite construction

Here is a brochure but not sure what year, doesn't give much info but a bit. What type of information on construction are you looking for?

RE: Feedback from the community on newbie questions

Welcome aboard! Don't for get to check out the Full Timers Forum here too, a lot of good knowledge and experience. I know over the years of several traveling RN's that have done the same thing. Seemed to work out well, many hospitals had basic hook up's too I've read. I would suggest the dually that Voltage 3895 is over 42' of trailer with a hitch weight of over 3,000#. As for the dogs, ours road in our Raptor and did just fine. In many ways probably more relaxed back there then in our truck, but at the time we had 2 kids. If I didn't have kids I'd have them in the truck so I didn't have to run the AC for them on hot days.

RE: Need help finding/repairing a water leak and soft spots.

Well that bites. Start with the shower and see what you find. The challenge with most RV, and I think yours is the same is that the cabinets and everything else is built on top of the flooring. Good luck with the project, keep us updated as you go.

RE: 2012 Dutchman Voltage Review

azdryheat your comments were crossing the line into slamming another member, not cool in my book. Unlike some one post complainers this person has returned and joined the discussion. You made your point.

RE: 2012 Dutchman Voltage Review

Ok folks I removed several posts. Keep on topic and let the personal attacks go or the thread will get closed. We were all new users here at one point, and I expect those of us that are Toy Hauler members to be a welcoming bunch. It's one thing to question but it's another to demand proof.

RE: Powerlite Toy Haulers - Looking for Opinions/Quality

We looked at Forest River Stealth and Shockwave, but they have 15" tires, not going that route again. Smart Man, maybe one deal manufacturers will figure it out and stop shipping with cheap tires.

RE: Wheelchair Accessible Toy Haulers

Sounds like they are working with you some, that's good to hear.

RE: Hauler for couple

Might have a look at the Cougar 325SRXWE, under 40 but still probably bigger then what you want.

RE: Add-A-Wall Installation - Clear Flaps on Inside or Outside?

Mine were on the inside of our Raptor, mostly since at night it's easier to drop the upper portion for privacy. Really doesn't matter though I suppose.

RE: Columbus TH's

Not much about them, but here is a previous thread that might help you out.

RE: Anyone know more about the Eclipse Iconic line?

When in doubt to straight to the source. I'd give them a call, (951) 684-6868. Not much on the net so far but your post and the Facebook page.

RE: FMCA Michelin Advantage Program Seattle / Tacoma Areas

I'm pretty sure the Tire Factory stores participate, I know my friend that owns a couple knows about the program.

RE: Wheelchair Accessible Toy Haulers

Hope it works out for you, it's the challenge when you're doing something semi-custom, you're at their whim. Good luck.

RE: Looking for advice on Aljo Skyline replacement?

drick, twice hard to say. Twice compared to some other units, yes. I just sold my F150 and bought a Jeep, amazed how well they hold their value. Is it worth it? Time will tell, but the reality is that if that is what the market is getting then there must be a reason behind it. I totally agree with soulraider there is no doubt that their amenities or "fluff" isn't as current or hip as some of the new rigs, they are heavy units and I believe they are built a bit better then most. It's been my impression they are not here for the flash but the long term use. Go winter camping and you'll see a bunch of Desert Fox and Artic Fox units out in the woods, and by no means are they new ones but they've been dependable. Now take that all with the knowledge that I've never owned one, just that I've camped with a number of people with them over the years.

RE: Cylcone 4200 - Does it exist?

What! The last original 2005 Raptor 3612 owners looking to abandon ship? Say it isn't so.

RE: Wheelchair Accessible Toy Haulers

Sorry to hear about the delay. Not sure what to tell you, I would ask the sales guy to give you a call and explain why they are behind. You're going to lose camping most of the summer, how much into the fall do you plan to camp? I ask since if it's going to sit for 5-6 months you will lose that warranty time, might be better to cancel and reorder for delivery next March.
