RE: Trailer Wheel Ratings?

My wheels were not stamped with a psi rating, but were stamped with a weight rating. With that I was able ascertain that the wheels were good for use with a G-rated tire, hence 110 psi.

RE: LT tire options _ Another Poly Carcass Tire to Consider

Forget my earlier post, I mistakenly thought this was for trailers rather than TV. My fault for not reading the OP correctly. Sorry.

RE: Pull Test ?

If I did a pull test, which I don't, I would do it just after I hitched up, while the chocks were still in place. This would take the brakes out of the equation, and the legs would still be down to catch the 5er if it came loose.

RE: LT tire options _ Another Poly Carcass Tire to Consider

Is it wise to go to a wider tire? Just wondering since the narrower tire seems to be a better idea when you take into consideration the scrubbing the tires do when cornering.

RE: What did you do to your Toy Hauler today???

RE: How do we keep 2 yr old from opening screen door?

We had our great-granddaughter out in the toyhauler last summer. She was just toddling and not really steady on her feet. She leaned against the door, and just managed to pull down on the handle to open the door, and out she went. Luckily she was unhurt except for being scared half to death. I don't believe "a swat on the butt" would have done much to dissuade her from her action since she had no real idea what happened.
And I've rarely met a completely obedient child, some just test the boundaries. We call it being strong-willed in our family. :)

RE: Protect your Credit Cards at Syracuse Rally

But the OP is of the opinion that the card was compromised while not in use. What would that have to do with the PIN or magnetic strip? But you do have a point: "It isn't a perfect system..." :)

My understanding is that the OP had a chipped card from Canada. :)

RE: Seems like they all do this

From my understanding some things only come in a package. Maybe the navigation system is only available with a certain package that also includes leather seats. I always buy used so I never have dealt with it. :)

RE: Difference between single rear wheel and dually rear wheel

Just step behind the truck and check out the overall wheelbase on the dually versus the single rear wheel. That much more of a stance will, IMO, make the dually more stable. Of course in the case of a flat tire on the rear there is another wheel on the same side to help keep things more controllable.

RE: Strapping down toys?`

I don't believe it would be as much of an issue with dirt bikes since they don't weigh anywhere near as much as a street bike. There would be a lot less weight moving back and forth so IMO, with a dirt bike, you could put them however you want without much of an issue.

RE: fridge fan

Got one of THESE for both the coach and TC, work great. The RV has a little more sophisticated frige so it was easy to hook up the fan to start when the frig is turned on. The truck camper was a little more challenging, had to run the hot lead down the condensate drain to find power, it turns on by clipping it to the fins when I fire up the frig.
No relationship with the seller other than being a happy customer.
I like the looks of that set-up although the amount of air movement seems to be a bit of overkill. I like that it hooks directly on the fins. Thanks.

RE: Any 5th wheel hitch operate exactly like a semi 5th wheel?

B&W is the most fool proof hitch out there. Never pin the handle open, that is what happened to the guy on here and forgot to pull the pin and finish latching got distracted and drove off.
That is the only time I have ever heard of a B&W and bed damage.
I never do a pull test and don't have a bed saver.
I always LOCK the handle closed, there are jerks out there.
Um you proved my point....it isn't the most fool proof hitch. You have to manually pin it locked.
On some situations I have had to pin it open because it won't stay open on it own, it wants to close. Or partially close
Well, not really. When you back into the hitch with the 5er and the handle swings back, the hitch is locked. You can drive away at that point if you wished. The handle does not lock the hitch, the handle unlocks the hitch. Putting the pin in keeps someone from opening the handle unlocking the hitch. But if that handle swings back when you hitch up, that 5er ain't goin' nowhere.
It really sounds like your hitch needs some adjustment. Mine has never failed to stay open when hitching up.

RE: fridge fan

Dunno about the Camco one but we have the Valterra and it works like it says it does. Circulates the air in the fridge, and the batteries last a long time.

RE: Help with gun selection

No offense, but a .22 caliber pistol can be just as deadly as any other pistol. And if you can hit what you aim at with that .22 you're a lot more deadly than that .44 magnum toting galoot that flinches from the recoil. And most people can get off more aimed shots faster with a .22 than with a something with more recoil. Size matters, but not as much as you think. ;)

RE: 2012 Raptor with Towmasters = BOOOM!!!

Mod: personally I'm still waiting for someone to answer my serious question why there is no correlation between the weight of a tire and its (possible) quality.
You really didnt expect a serious answer from a tire tread did ya?:BWas that pun deliberate? :)
