RE: Looking for pics of car audio conversion

Honestly I was going to cut a piece or plexiglass and paint the backside to fill the gap until I found my "kit". It would have looked good either way.

http://i1006.photobucket.com/albums/af189/jjotmo/2012-06-19_00-18-30_663.jpg width=640 I looked online and finally contacted the OEM for the radio and they made an adapter plate. Moderator edit to re-size picture to forum limit of 640px maximum size.

RE: 95 Gallon Tote Tank

WOW - My concern would be weight (guessing) 8lb/gal x 95 = 760 lbs !!!!!!!!!!!!!! bet that puts you over your rear axle weight unless you have a stout truck ! good luck :) It sounds like he is using it to transport the waste at the campground, not with the camper also in tow. Also his dually should handle 800# payload. What a great idea. Sure beats dragging my tote tank around

RE: led lighting upgrade cost

I've ordered all of my led from 2011_led on ebay. If you email him he will give you a bulk discount and he ships fast. I love the panels in some areas but prefer the round 12 led warm white. I ordered 10 more recently for 27.50 so 2.75 per bulb. Not too bad.

RE: What Vent Covers To Get?

I have CW vents and love them. I only have a cheap stock fan in my bathroom vent though. I would probably change that vent out if I got a good fan. The other 2 I would definitely leave on.

RE: What Vent Covers To Get?

I would get the smoked. A lot of light can come thru those vent covers when in a park with security lighting nearby, or when there is a full moon, or when it starts getting light at 5am and it's a sunny day. Or you can buy white and paint the inside black. I did it for the vent in my bedroom and it made a huge difference.

RE: TV mounts

I ordered the one I linked below. It was up all season and worked great. I righted up the arm for travel and I used 2 command hooks 1 above and below the arm to help secure with a bungee. We have hit some rough roads and never had an issue. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0025PKFUI/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1359386586&sr=8-33&pi=SL75

RE: Near Miss Propane Freak Accident

Last year either my wife or I bumped into our stove and turned on a burner on our stove in the middle of the night. We woke up at 4:30 in the morning and it was bad. Fortunately I left the fan running all night to drown out noise. I'm pretty sure that's what saved us that night. Also the 5er was a little nose high due to the site so in the rear where my children sleep there was no smell. Needless to say I evacuated the camper and shut off glass while opening all the windows. I still check the knobs every time I walk by. We were very fortunate that night and I will always remember that

RE: spa sensations mattress????

jjotmo how did you plan on shortning the mattress? I ask because I would like to get one for my HTT, but my current queen mattress folds in half when the bunk ends are closed, so I would possibly need to cut mine in half down the middle. I also wonder if it would be any heavier than our current (what they call a) mattress. The reviews are good on it though. Yes I have to shorten it. That is one of the reasons I like this one because the cover is removable and it looks like it will be easy to cut. My 5er is a 1999 jayco 26' . It is in excellent shape and we love it but the bedroom does not have enough room for a full length mattress. I plan on using a very sharp meat cutting knife I have. If not I always have long blades for the sawzall

RE: spa sensations mattress????

I must say the online reviews were the best I have ever see anywhere for any product. Something like 1500-2000 reviews and almost everyone was happy. So I got one for home. My wife has multiple conditions that cause her pain most of the time and for sure at night. Right after we got it, she said it was much better and she slept all night for the first time in a while. I like it also. For what it costs, I just couldn't ignore all those glowing online reviews. Glad we tried it. Thank you Dan. This is what I was hoping to hear. The reviews on it are really good and I also googled them and seen more good reviews. It looks like I will be ordering one soon. I wish I could get a sleep number but those are just way too much especially for the amount of time I get to use it.

RE: spa sensations mattress????

I would but my mattress is a short model 76" long and I don't have very much room at the end of the bed now.

RE: spa sensations mattress????

Our budget is at Max $300. We spend somewhere around 30-40 days a year in the 5er I just need something that is better than what we have now. We are trying to get a seasonal where we enjoy to stay but I still have to watch the budget. I am looking at the 8" mattress which is thicker than what we have now.

spa sensations mattress????

My wife and I are ready to replace the mattress in our 5er. I can't spend a bunch on it so I am looking at the spa sensations memory foam mattress from Walmart. It looks like I should be able to easily shorten it to fit. It has really good reviews but I was wondering if anyone on here has one?

RE: Converter fried, will this work?

My converter went out while on the first day of our vacation. I used a battery charger for a couple of days until I could get my replacement. I contacted Randy at best converters and they were very knowledgeable and nice. They even shipped it out to the campground that we were headed to. It also showed up a day earlier than expected. Check out best converter, even with expedited delivery they were cheaper than anyone else I could find that had good converters.

RE: TV would not sell so I had to use the F word

I guess I'm on here too much. Am I the only one that reads this title and thinks his "Tow Vehicle" won't sell so he's looking at a Ford? It makes me laugh every time I see it.

how to extend range to pick up wifi signal

At one of the campgrounds we like we have little to no cell coverage and their wifi is tough to connect to where we like to be. What can I do to get better signal short of moving closer to their signal?

RE: Dish Network Hopper and Joey comments

I have had it for a couple months now. I really like the UI its a big improvement from our old 2 tuner HD box. The big issue I had was I didn't realize that one hopper only provided 3 tuners even though we had 1 hopper and 3 joeys. With 2 kids it can be difficult especially with stuff recording. Fortunately my kids dont watch much tv and i work afternoons so i get the tv to nyself. I plan on adding another hopper to get a total of 5 tuners. But overall I really like the set up and having HD in all rooms.
