RE: RV Park Reviews Forum

And if you do find a way to change your email address you go back to square one as new, so be prepared to NOT be able to post a review until you have submitted several to them for their review before they will allow your reviews to be seen by others. The most stupidest policy I've ever seen.:R That would explain why my recent review wasn't posted. When they changed their format, I had to resign up, and I couldn't get into my old account.

RE: Resort Fees

Encore Resorts around here charge $4-$5 resort fee. That would be fine, but over the past 3 years, their rates have gone up considerably. Last year we had a buy one night get one night free coupon at Encore. Our site still cost us $63, and that campground is not what I would call a resort, by any means. And just checking their website, I see this year they are $61 plus $4 resort fee, and Holidays are $66 plus $4. That's ridiculous. We just got back from a true resort campground in Cape May, NJ and only paid $40 a night.

RE: Wildwood, NJ campgrounds

Big Timber Lake is nice. This year we are going to Beachcomber, which is 4 miles from Wildwood. We are at Beachcomber now. Yes, the roads and some spots are somewhat tight, but we have a 31' class c with a toad and we got in no trouble. Sites in the back section are absolutely huge. And this place is awesome. Super clean and friendly. Beach/playground area is great. Their website doesn't do it justice. And only minutes from Cape May, Wildwood, and Sunset Beach.

RE: Twin Grove PA

Maybe next time instead of flat out canceling, post on Craiglist or a Pa camping forum that you have a reservation available. Holiday weekends in this part o the state sell out quickly, so chances are, you may find someone looking for a site. Just a thought.

RE: otter lake cg e.strousberg, pa

Anyone offer a good site Number? (private if possible).Ty That depends on what you want as far as hookups and if you want lake front. Most of their sites are spacious. Some of the lake fronts are more private than others. Of course, the better the site, the more you will be paying. And keep in mind, I'm not sure ofnthye date, but after a certain date, it's a 5 night minimum.

RE: maximum # of pets

Same type of post ---------same question about # of pets CLICKY OP here. Sorry, I did not see that post. Great info there. So now the only thing that irks me is the campgrounds that had no limit last year, now have a 2 dog limit.

RE: maximum # of pets

Many CG have limits on how many dogs you can have per site. Some also have breed and weight restrictions. Their park their rules. While I don't always agree with the rules. I do obey them. I suggest you play by the rules as well vs. fudging the truth when asked. Sure there will be a CG that won't allow you in but usually there will be an alternative nearby. The breed/size I can understand, and that is sometimes based on insurance regulations. It;s the campgrounds that, just last year, had no limits. Now they have limits.

maximum # of pets

Sorry if this was posted before, I searched and nothing came up. We are seeing lots of campgrounds this year that are posting a maximum of 2 dogs per site. I'm not sure I understand this rule, and it sure puts a strain on our plans for this year. Any thoughts on this "new to us" rule? And FWIW, we have 4 dogs, and ALWAYS clean up after our dogs.

RE: otter lake cg e.strousberg, pa

Seems to be our first trip every year, including this year. That is because o the indoor pool and discount coupon that expires in May. I'd go there anytime. Great biking, boat rentals, etc.

RE: Low point drains

I have a set under the outdoor shower and another set at the battery compartment. That one is hard to get at from underneath.

Sizing Tow Dolly

When looking for a tow dolly, how do we determine what weight rating we need? Since only the front axle will be on the dolly, do we use the total car weight?

RE: Hutchinson and Abilene Kansas

A few local, town owned parks we stayed at, one in Lyons and one in Sterling. Sterling even has a pool and fishing, and full hookups. Not quite in Hutch but not real far away.
