Also like Mill Creek. Got some great sites that have a view of the bridge and water.

RE: Dewinterize or not?

I would wait at least till the end of the month. You know our MI weather and always have a couple of real cold night before the end of April!

RE: Levelers down and still hooked up to my dinghy

Never had a problem and have seen plenty of rigs in pull thru sites with tows still attached! Just make sure the back of the vehicle is not out in the driveway!

RE: Do you use anything special for cookware? Another Question

Use a pizza stone in the oven and DW bakes bread, cookies, biscuits, corn bread, 12# turkey just about any thing she did at home. On the top burners we use non-stick pans, made spaghetti homemade sauce with meatballs and boiled the noodles no problem, and just about anything else at home including using 50 year old cast iron skillet for make real good homemade sausage and gravy! We have a microwave/convection that does not get a lot of use but the Weber Q100 grill get as much as the stove from cooking bacon to steaks when the weather is nice!

RE: Is .22mag snake shot enough for moccasins?

I used 22 Mag pistol in WV with the father-in-law clearing old family grave yard. Worked good on copperheads that weren't moving real fast but a shovel was best at close range!

RE: Need to figure out how to have my port flushed on the road

Wife on/off Chemo for 4 years now and when she'll call a Cancer center in the area, tell them what she needs, and make an appointment. They told her every 4 to 6 weeks and we've never had a problem with Medicare covering the cost.

RE: AC Help Needed!

What is the voltage at the park outlet, in the rig before you turn on the A/C? How low is the voltage going down when the A/C first starts and does it drop down more as the A/C runs during the day? What breaker is tripping 20 AMP A/C or 30 AMP house? Is the breaker hot to touch?

RE: Insurance denying claim for ripped floor

I would ask the service manager to talk to your insurance company since there are more units there with the same damage covered by other companies. He might be able to get them to cover yours since others are being covered by there insurance.

RE: Michigan parks, this weekend?

Best one is Sterling over in Monroe, MI with paved roads and sites. Has full hook ups and a bike trail all way into town!

RE: double pane windows

Our present rig is 10 years old and first with dual pane windows. Will never buy a rig without dual pane windows. Cuts down outside noise, helps both with heat and cooling.

RE: Camping World Online Ordering

Nice to hear the good comments once in awhile. The few Camping World haters on here get a rest.

RE: True or False?

We have a 2004 Bounder we bought 3 years ago had 20,000 mile on it. This is now our full time rig and have had a few minor things to replace such as slide toppers, a shift switch on the outside of the Allison Transmission, toilet because we want a toilet with regular size seat, and had the sat. dish hooked up but that's about it. This year will be shocks and back tires. The Damon for the most part the Hurricane and Challenger are low end rigs. We got a 36' 2 slide, with split bath which was the floor plan the wife liked best. For full timing gas models I look at 2006 or newer manufactures Newmar, Fleetwood, Tiffin,or Winnebago between 34'-38'would be your best pick.

RE: Why are camping world product reviews screened?

I have the Solar cover with the fan and been running 2 years now with no noise! Most products do have some bad ones when manufactured but that does not make all of them bad!

RE: Allied Insurance

Just make sure you read all the disclaimers, waivers, and deductibles. A price that looks good may not have the coverage you need and cost you thousands out of pocket!

RE: Practical advice on complying with commercial license laws

Unless Florida requires a CDL you do not need one for towing your RV. Whatever the law in the state you're license is issued from is accepted in all states. You do not have to comply with CA unless you're a resident and are license in that State.

RE: Michigan total length laws

Tow the trailer up with a truck and do it the right way. You try towing with a rent MH and someone will take a picture of you going down the highway. Most MH come with a hitch rated at either 350# or 500# tongue weight and max trailer weight 3500# or 5000#. You can not legally beef them up any more than that!

RE: How to winterize a Splendide with air

You still will have to put pink stuff in the drum and spin it out to protect the pump after you have blown the lines out.

RE: fuel mileage on 1995 Thor class A

How fast were you running? The 460 was not know for great mileage between 7-9 at around 55 is very good! The faster you run the faster the gas goes!

RE: Wow...CW's service

You said new so I take this was warranty work. I can tell you the RV repair tech I know and have meet at Camping World are top rate individuals. If this was warranty work the manufacture makes all the decisions not CW. The staple size was probably the size told to CW from the manufacturer. As far as the paint this is a manufacturer recommendation since they always say paint and see if the customer finds the problem. I've seen rigs sit for weeks because the color the manufactures says it was painted does not match. Glad you have it fixed for the camping season.
