RE: dingy taillight

Yes. You do not want the MH lights back feeding into dinghy's wiring. Same thing if you press brake pedal in dinghy. You do not want voltage back feeding into MH wiring.

RE: Help!!! Gulfstream Conquest slideout not working

Always glad to help.
You may want to download some of the Equalizer System manuals. To help with troubleshooting the slide and jacks.
You should find the heavy duty circuit breakers. Just in case one ever trips. They look like this one.

RE: Help!!! Gulfstream Conquest slideout not working

Giving model number would help with your problem. Is parking brake on. Some models require that engine be running.
In one of the basement compartments is a set of HD circuit breakers. The one for slide may have tripped.

RE: First time post: tire issues inside pass. rear

Question;
Is break drag enough heat to dissipate threw the rim to the tire to over inflate the tire?
Is 10 lb + - an average range for tire pressure during travel.
My BIL has a 2003 29' Bigfoot. That he tows a toad with. He was having blowouts in the rear. Finally figured out that reason was using to much braking on down hill/mountain runs. This caused a lot of heat. He now uses the transmission to control these downhill runs speed. No more blowouts.

RE: Scan Gauge II

I have been using a ScanGauge II on my diesel motorhome for 6 years. Works great. The only data missing is EGT's.

RE: Conditons heading south after Christmas

If you head over toward Cincinnati and are a FMCA member. You can stay at their park. Full hookups if you need them.
On I 65 just south of Bowling Green, KY. We stay at Bluegrass Music RV Park. KOA in Bowling Green is also open.

RE: searchin

Here is a wall mount table from CW.
thanks fisherman....
Table is a little to short and much too narrow..hmmm that was a song! Ha!.
fisnherman huh? Ya aint fished till ya caught a sea run king salmon. Strip 100-yds off in a heartbeat. Bright and shiny and more energy then the the Saturn 5 ha!.
Shoot I can make one of those....Maybe get a RV with a bunk bed and remove those and add a table etc..Kinda hate to change it tho cause it will hurt the value.
Heck ya cant have everything. I'm more German oriented..IE function over form.
Kinda like what Red Green says on Canuck TV. "If the women don't find ya handsome,...they better find ya handy...Ha!!
Rick
I would make one to fit my needs. I have seen different sizes here on RV.NET. They were made by various RV manufactures.
This is what I made for our current needs.

I fished with light tackle compared to what is used on Pacific Coast. Sold everything with boat in 2006. Have not fished since. Changed how we enjoy life.

RE: Question abt metal studs ect?

Gosh tatest...most comprehensive description I've ever read. Thank ya thank ya thank ya.
There's a 2005 Winnebago Minnie 31 C here for, asking $49 and a 2006 Gulfstream Super C for, asking $48.5 said he'd take $46..
the Gulfstream is awesome but only gets 7-8 MPG. 8.1L Gas..Said he went back east from Ak and spent $4-5k on gas.
What say you gurus?
Man,.... Glad I'm a member of the GSC with road assistance even more now.
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Rick
Cannot help you on prices. But at least you found a seller (Super C) giving you honest info on fuel mileage.
The 31' E450 may get about 1 gallon better.
Handling on our GS is very good. There have been a few problems. But all fixable.
Check both very close for roof and front window leaks.

RE: Toilet Recommendation?

If I had to change out my Galaxy, I would opt for the Bravura. Yes, porcelain are easier to clean. The Bravura offers a bigger base area which makes it more stable the Aqua Magic series.
If your existing is on a structural pedestal, you need to measure to get the correct height replacement unit
Bravura
We had a Bravura a few years back and all I did was need to work on it for a variety of reasons JMHO jb
Our Bravura is over 9 years old. Have not had a problem with it. Would like a porcelain. But do not want the added weight.

RE: tow dolly troubles?

Master Tow makes 2 models of their dolly. A 77" and a 80". Which model do you have. From your description you have the smaller dolly. Your Caravan will have interference problems this size dolly.

RE: Factory-fix to reinforce Norcold refrigerator door hinge

reply re Amazon listing: yes, that looks like the listing. Also, that's the part # I ordered; I believe it got edited out of my initial posting. The install sheet does indicate N6/N8 so that would seem to confirm it'll fix your unit too. Comment made re keeping heavy items off of door is certainly correct too; we figured that out after the failure, and will continue to avoid weighting down the door even after this fix.
Another item that creates a lot of weight is wood inserts that are put on front of the door to match interior of RV.
The door failures were a big thing on the Kodiak Chassis forum back in 2010/11. I have not heard of any failures since the brackets were installed.
The part # listed above is the same one in that forum. The "KIT" part number is 634166.

RE: air tabs

I installed Air Tabs last fall. After driving 4,000 miles in different weather conditions. I find they make a difference. Less pull from passing trucks. Less side wind movement. As far a mileage. I have not seen any. But I had to run in some high head on winds that sucked any MPG improvements that could have been seen. Keeping rear window and toad clean. Does seem to have made some improvement. Heading south to TX last December we ran in wet salt covered roads. Next day we drove in rain all day. When we got to our destination in TX. There was not the usual thick cover of road salt and dirt on toad.
Just for the handling improvements I like them. Not sure that I would pay the going price of $220 for a set of 80. Got 90 of them off EBAY for $100.
