New Item - It's called Wash/Wax and it's made by Aero Cosmetics. Originally meant for airplanes but they found RVers liked it for their units. You simply spray it on and wipe it off. It's a polymer wax.
But what really makes it great, they just developed a 2-sided micro-sheen mop with an extended handle that allows you to do the entire unit without a ladder.

Went to the website, but don't see the mop there. Is it made by the WashWax company?

We needed a latch to hold open the door for our outdoor shower. The trailer didn't come with one, so we thought we would just put one in ourselves. The latches didn't come with screws to attach them so DH used a spare piece of 3M hook adhesive to get the job done. Works quite well.
Revised to show pics. Finally downloaded them from the camera.

I guess this qualifies as a Handy Hint. How to make homemade ice cream with the temps reaching 100. Using a five gallon water-cooler sure helps the ice cream freeze faster. The umbrella helps also.
The bike rack companies also make a hith that slides over a regular hitch extention so you can do both. The other option is a platform bike rack that attaches to the bumper. You have lots of options. Just google bike racks. I like the box though! Good luck
AO_hitech wrote: Okay, this is not something I built, yet. It is my next project. I have almost no outside storage and need a place to carry the bikes. I also sometimes tow a boat. I have one of those carriers that fit in a hitch receiver. Works okay for the bikes, but I can't carry anything else with the bikes, nor can I tow anything. I thought of building a box on the carrier, and bolting it to a hitch extension, but then I still wouldn't have anywhere for the bikes.
My wife saw this in the spot next to us. It is exactly what I want. I just never thought of putting the bike racks on top. And you can still tow with it.

What a great idea! If your batteries run low, put the water jug on your ladder shelf (just high enough to be over your fill inlet) put your water hose in the bottom and suck just enough water to to start a siphon. I learned this in the old days when I ran out of gas, the good part is the water tastes a whole lot better if you over do it!!!

AO-Hitech, go to Northern Tool.com and check Item# 330685-1901--for $70 all your problems are solved, you can carry the bike, pull the boat or do both at the same time. I have used 1 for years and it works like a charm, Ken,
PVC pipe is the greatest for racks, stands, or games. I have made a Ladder Golf game, sign holder, and drying rack. They will break down to a small bundle, and they are very light. If it can be made of wood or metal, it could be made out of PVC
Got mine like that at harbor Freight for about half the price of this one.
