Just kind of stumbled across the Jayco Australia site and noticed their version of the HTT. Looks like the bottom AND top of the bunk ends are solid walled. Anyone know how the mechanics of them work...is it like a double door or does the bottom slide out like a popup?

It's interesting that they are so different! I like the larger baths in the US version, but wish the wrap around cabinetry was available here. I've often thought they could make better use of the space above the bunks, doors, windows, etc. - for me, it's all about the storage.

Actually Jayco Australia is not related in anyway with Jayco US. Yes they do produce some similar products. Presumably the Aussie Jayco owners are friends of the owners of Jayco US, so that is far as it goes as regards tieups between the two same name and insignia companies.
Quote: In the winter of 1975, Jayco developed its first camper trailers and production commenced in January 1976. The company was founded by Gerry Ryan, OAM, who remains at the helm as its Managing Director.
Jayco quickly established a reputation for producing high quality, competitively priced caravan and camping products, and within a few short years it had become a leading player in the Australian recreational vehicle (RV) industry.
Unlike many of its competitors, Jayco survived the economic and industry downturn of the late 1980s and early 1990s through sound business management and a timely expansion of its innovative product range and its nation-wide dealer network.
Jayco prides itself on being a “family company”. The Jayco family includes management, staff, dealers, customers and owners of Jayco product.
Jayco is now one of the most recognized brands in Australia; an established and familiar household name. Each year, a Jayco is ‘home away from home’ for hundreds of thousands of Australians.
Now in its fourth decade, the company - with some 725 employees - is one of the great success stories of Australian manufacturing.

Playing cricket while camping? Why didn't I think of that! I'm replacing our ladder golf game with cricket equipment today.

Very common here, plus T-ball, badminton, football(all varieties in Australia).
Sort of cute to see very young children swinging their fluoro cricket bats at Tennis balls. Game usually ends when someone loses the ball.
Jayco Australia strength in Australia, is from its aftermarket service, which is exceptional. They will repair in some cases, Caravans after they have just gone out of warranty and treat the repair as a warranty claim.

looks like they have the same workings as the NA stuff with an extra cover over the popout with the hinge at the top. Probably provides better shade and tree sap protection, etc. This could probably be easily added to the North American ones. Just an extra, larger plastic piece with hinges on the top and a way to lock it up above the canvas of the normal popout. looks like a good concept.

The only problem is Jayco Australia has a patent for its product. Remember not the same company.

I saw one of these camping at the Silver Strand Beach last summer. I was really curious about it but never saw the owners out and about so I couldn't ask them to see it. It looked really neat though.

It is not just Jayco and Jayco Australia(both unrelated companies) produce a similar product. Winnebago in Australia , it is totally unrelated to the US Company but produces a similar product.
