Pictures are always welcome. I hope that you can get your project finished soon. I am really looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Thanks! Today is putting the "new" oil pan on the engine, I want this car running, I want to test the hitches before tying them in to a custom roll-cage. I have trailers lined up, friend-of-a-friend deals, but since I'm not taking them anywhere far, no problems.
My deadline is still the Cruise-In on July 7.

Lunch break. Getting the engine out to install the pan, already smashed my right thumb.

Thanks! Encouraging words are always welcome, and helpful. Though I intend to see this through even if the whole world hates on it.
Tomorrow I'll have the pan installed, gotta get the oil cooler lines away from the car's steering shaft. Plenty of space if I can bend them up. Also gotta hammer the firewall for clearance where they're now kissing.
If that goes well enough, I should have the known-good engine and a known-good transmission final-installed tomorrow afternoon. I got 2 gallons of Gatorade, just to be sure I don't get faint.
Tuesday should see the gas tank final-installed.

We haven't even seen any weight nazi's here yet.........you know even though you installed the correct parts....you wont be safe of legal to tow anything heavier than a jet ski olleyes

Ratings are not law, and in fact, uprating is legal. I checked with my DMV, my DPS, my DOT, my UHP, and my local police.
As soon as I finish this bowl of cereal, I'm out to make progress on this car.

It's in! Pics next. Right now I'm hurting, exhausted, hungry and hurting.
But the wiper motor is in, the air cleaner is on, I had to tweak the bracket for the "tuna cam", and I had to modify the under-hood braces, but the hood closes!
I got the radiator in, and both batteries. The starter is on. The crank and water pump pulleys are back on, the alt belt is on and tight. The P/S pulley is a good 1/8" from the steering box.
