30 Amp Fuse
Should be in the power distribution box in the engine compartment. A malfunctioning pump could cause a blown fuse (drawing excess current) or it could be a short in the wiring to the fuel pump.

30 amp fuse is sufficient. If it continues to blow, replace the fuel pump. Hopefully, in the confines of your own driveway.

Thank you... Sloop Smitten My husband and I have been having problems with this RV ...two times now it has quit running while going down the road... just BAM, NOTHING ...no fuel getting where it needs to go. Had to pull over to the side of the road, and we put a 30 amp in the fuse box and both times it started right back up and we went on down the road, but we were wondering maybe it was suppose to have a larger fuse, 40 or 50, but we have just found out NO it should be a 30 as you say. Thanks so much, .... now if we can just figure out if it is the fuel pump or some kind of bad wiring then. Thanks

Well when our Mercedes SUV had it, towing, on vacation.

Would be driving along, and would suddenly lose all power. By the time I pulled off the road, engine was running fine. Never had to restart it.

All was fine for about 500 miles, when it did same thing again. Took it to nearest dealer, who changed fuel filter. On we went for another 400 miles, when same again. Found another dealer who said he knew what it was, bad fuel pump. That was about 100,000 miles ago, no trouble since.

PS.... also, to note, we went approx. 17OO miles the first time, and over 500 miles the second time, so could it still be the PUMP? thanks

I have a V10 in mine and the pump went out 2 years ago. It would crank and not start but go the second try. it did that on and off for a couple of months. after it sat over the winter it would not start at all. I had about 40 thousand miles on it at the time.

Have you tested the fuse to be sure it is blown after you take it out??
as it could be a fuel pump relay failing!??
With a 460 fuel pump its not a question if it will fail but WHEN !! if its the original
Dont ask how I know!

Bad Fuel pumps can have all kinds of symptoms. Mine was loss of power.
Just go to a dealership they have a gadget they put on it and they can tell you right then and there what pressure its putting out. Hang on to your pocket book most fuel pumps are now located in the gas tank. Which btw if you are running with a low gas in the tank all the time that causes the fuel pump to overheat and eventually die leaving you along side the road!
