Hey gang! Well, the Rockwod mini lite was great but for the wife, myself and the 16 month old, it really was a bit small for us. Funny how when you add water (rain) to these things the y shrink.
So after MUCH deliberation, we went to a show this weekend and we bout a Trace 245 bhs Touring edition. I at least wanted to get a summer out of the Mini Lite but the price at the show was too good to pass up with all of the included extras and I knew this was the one we eventually would be getting. We love it and we are excited...but get to the question already!
So my wife is the consummate organizer and you would not believe how well she dealt with the small space in RW but now the Tracer has very deep pantry shelves and we are just looking for some ideas on what you guys do to keep all of the spices, cans, boxes of mac n cheese etc. in order, I know Camping World sells stuff but so often individual ingenuity can be far superior (and cheaper) to mass produced items. Whew...sorry for being so long winded!
So here's to our new trailer and keeping our cans of beans in order!
Cheers all!

I would install/build a pull out tray to the existing shelf. Build a new shelf with short walls. Add some ball bearing drawer guides and a latch to hold it in and you would be good to go.

DW found some light weight wire potato bins at Wal-Mart that work great as organizers for food, dishes, books movies, etc.

Get some full length drawer pulls as deep as you have space and put either a full drawer or a platform with plastic buckets in it. A single pull out nearer the top of a shelf, or two or three different heights will make all that room usuable instead of "way at the back".

I use those plastic shoe box size bins. I put spices in one, cans in another with no lid on the bin, anything that may leak like oil or syrup in another one, etc.

I've been known to use cardboard boxes in my cabinets to compartmentalize the area. Shoe boxes & Amazon boxes work well. : )

We added extra shelves, divided the areas with more walls and I use plastic containers on top shelves which I can pull out since I am not tall enough to see the top shelf.

Our last TT had fixed shelving. I added some drawer slides and put plywood on them, then set clear plastic storage containers on them. That way we could pull out the container we needed. Our current TT has no pantry, but does have lots of storage. We actualy use the entertainment center area. It's made for CD/DVD's and such. We don't pack that kind of stuff so we use the shelves for spices, and cooking goods. The shelves are only about 5-6" deep and about 3' long so it works out great. Never have run out of storage.

We had one of those large, open, deep pantry's too. Even with all the space, my wife found that it was of little use...
I pulled out the shelves and built a wood frame and got some drawer rollers and did this.

I lost some actual square footage of space, but it was useless space anyway and my wife never had this much stuff in it to begin with!
Here is how I framed for the drawer rollers inside the space.

I do need to come up with a better latching mechanism to hold the sliding pantry in place however... The bungee cord works fine, but not very attractive!
