Coming up for renewal with Coach-Net. Received an offer from Good Sam at a considerably reduced rate compared to Coach-Net. It looks like Good Sam offers more services for less $$. I welcome any comments to pros and cons of Good Sam. Thanks

Have had it for some time but only used it once. Last year I needed to get towed out of the sand and the truck came and then the bigger truck came and the two of them took care of it. No charge - fast response - so I guess I'm a fan.

I had Good Sam for 8 years or so and the last several times that I called Good Sam it took 2 to 3 hours to show up. I switched to Coach Net and the last two times that I called, service was poor and it took nearly 3 hours and I was downtown Yuma. So I will be going back to Good Sam as it is much cheaper

We used to have Good Sams and changed to another carrier. Color us as Unhappy Campers with the other company!

Good Sams did right by us when our last RV was totalled. As they say...they made us whole again! New RV (better one!), all our lost personal items were replaced, excellant customer servie too.

We were lured away by lower rates (that didn't last), by a "RV Insurance Carrier" that really never even saw a and promises that weren't kept.

Went back to Good Sams...and I have to say we missed them! Most likely will stay with them for a very long time after seeing the other companies idea of "service!" Plus Good Sam's really understands the Rver's need better than other companies.

After the accident...all of our belongings were scattered all over the 4 lanes of the freeway...like a tornado disaster scene!

But Good Sams even had a list of stuff that are commonly lost in an RV accident such as ours...made it easy to start fresh with new things in our brand new Jayco!

The other guys had way much legal fine print!

That is a ONE time and only ONE time rate. It's only given to new members. Once you are a member the second time you renew you will be charged the higher rate and paying the higher rate till you die.

That said about how they reward their long time members.......'I've had them for several years only used a couple of times and have been 'very' pleased with the service.

Those that complain about how long it takes for service truck to arrive NEED to understand GS calls tow trucks that participate with Good Sam program not always the nearest one. and/or how far their RV broke down from the nearest repair shop was the shop 10 minutes away from their disable RV or 2 hours?

GS has always called me back with an ETA and then 5 seconds later the repair shop calls with the ETA. They know what to fill out, take no money and you're on the road again.

IN ten years of membership with AAA I used them EXCLUSIVELY to get free travel maps. Finally wised up and found a much cheaper (free) source for travel maps

Have had good Sam Road service for about 11 years. Have had to use 4 or 5 times with tire problems, lock out, and the big one where they had to tow the Fiver and the Pickup to camp ground and took the truck to the dealer for repair. I am VERY pleased.

I am in the same boat, up for renewal with Coach-NEt and got a deal from GS in the mail. Says it is 22 cents a day which is 80 odd dollars a year but am sure it will go up next year. I have in 12 years had to use the service twice, one I had a MH which would not start and they sent a small pickup truck(Good Sam) so I switched to Coach-Net and had to get fuel and they were fine with that. I think I will go with whomever is cheaper since they use the same companies to tow and send as AAA and eachother so that does not matter. BOTH know how to tow a MH or fifthwheel and truck. BOTH are good, but if you are in a funky area then it is going to take time to get a tow truck out to you, Good Sam or Coach-Net!!
