How many of you use "real" dishes vs paper plates and plastic utensils?

We have plastic plates as the good stuff and always take paper plates along for just in case we get extra company. Certainly easy to clean up.

WE have both, but normally use paper. Cuts down on fresh water usage.

I like real plates, DW likes paper when camping. Most of the time we eat off paper.

We use both. When we are having our evening meal we use "regular" plates - Corelle dishes. For a quick lunch that's when the red snack trays come out. I guess we don't use much paper after thinking about it. I dress up the individual plastic red hotdog trays with red checkered disposal paper and everyone likes the picnic feel. I love using the corelle dishes which I've used for years and have never had one break or chip.

I have Corelle and also use styrofoam/paper plates, it depends on the food we are eating.

We sort of compromise:

Real plates with cheapo paper plates for "liners" if water's scarce.

We use plastic if there is something "cutable", if not, then paper.

I had a real bias towards real plates. After doing dishes for a while, paper plates and plastic utensils won out for simpler meals - salads, sandwiches, meals that don't require steak knives. It makes life easier. I still have dishpan hands though.
