Many reviews of Lake George Escape campground refer to noise, traffic crowds etc. Well it just got worse. The new moneymaking plan for the greedy group is to offer helicopter rides with the landing area right next to what are called the full premium seasonal sites. So yesterday we listened to helicopters taking off and landing for 6hours. The copter was back this morning at 11am
The managers response to my complaints was that I can give up my site and he would gladly refund my money. He makes money on transients not seasonals

Well I guess you have it in a nutshell. Get your refund and take your money elsewhere.

Are you just venting or looking for advice?

Take your money and run. Leave the campground to those who like noise. I'm with you on this one--having to listen to anyone's noisy recreation is not my thing--helicopters, Harleys, speedboats, "personal watercraft", etc., can be intolerable to those that enjoy peace and quiet.

Both venting and warning people. Difficult to get a new seasonal site at this time of year up here

We've camped there several times in the past and were thinking about going back there this summer some time.
I just sent them an email asking about having a helicopter flying in and out several times a day and advising them that we would not be interested in camping there if it were happening.
Prior to retiring four years ago, I spent my life working in the biz-jet and helicopter engine business and the last thing I need is camping next to a helipad.

they won't change for you. you have to leave and find your quieter cg somewhere else. many won't be bothered by the noise. he won't lose business.
so nothing you can do.
