Working a deal on a 2012 Tiffin Allegro 35QBA which is their bunk house gasser. The best deal the sales staff came up with was 10% off MSRP. I received a price sheet from Tiffin a few months back and they matched so I felt ok about the MSRP but I keep hearing people say they got 20-30% off their coach. This will be my first motorhome IF we can come to terms on the price but this is my fifth RV. On my past RV's I got a better deal than this. I had read where Tiffin has less of a discount than other coaches the same size/layout but the Tiffin is generally more to begin with. What are your thoughts?

Hay, we just left Bay City and used to go to Lake Jackson all the time for Luby's for the fish. OK, on to the important stuff. Don't buy a new MH for 10-30% off when you can get a good used rig that will have a better deal. I jpurchased new and it's not worth the money reguardless of the make and model. This is just my opinion but many will agree with me. Go to Holiday World in Katy and lok at theirs or go to PPLO in Houston and see what they have before the plunge into a new rig.

Tis another fine day to serve in and for the glory of the Corps. Every day is a holiday and every meal a feast.

I think they have an excellent history of standing by their product and that is where the higher price comes in. In this economy I think I would hold out for a better deal. Maybe get some quotes for a similar coach in another brand, Winnebago makes a nice motorhome too. Plus if I were you I would take a closer look at older ones that have been traded in.

Doesn't have to be more than a couple of years old but you will get a tremendous saving and it would be broken in. You can also ask for an after market warranty to cover you for a year or so to make sure everything is running well.

If you decide to go older make sure you get one that has all the service dates logged etc. Best of luck to you.

On RVTrader.com 35QBA $133,699.00 nicely loaded is the MSRP, (one of the dealers had one listed as a V-10 Diesel?!) and I saw them for $136,500.00 in Colton Calif...$135,899.00 in Buford, Georgia, and the lowest at $127,540,00 in Oklahoma City.

I found one HERE-"New 2012 Tiffin Motorhomes Allegro 35 QBA Motor Home Class A ... list $132,804 But here You Save: $27,824 at Sale Price of $104,980." So that tells you there is room for negotiation!

Good luck!

We got ours for under 100K. Had to drive to Las Vegas to pick it up (I know, tough trip) but it was worth it. Did the whole deal over the phone. Shop around.

I'm looking at the 2012 Tiffin Allegro 36LA, and most of the MSRPs I've seen on the internet are $139-142K, depending on options. I saw an add in a TX newspaper were a dealer had a new one on sale for $109,990. I'm thinking that when I'm ready to buy, I'll be looking for at least $30K off MSRP.

I am surprised some Tiffen owners haven't chimed in. I would ask your question over on the Tiffen RV Network. I think to get a decent deal I would shop dealers east of the Mississippi including Wisconsin, Alabama and Georgia. Good Luck!

Why don't you check with Sherman RV in Sherman, MS or with Davis Motorhomes in Memphis, TN. Both will quote you prices that are much more competitive then what you have been seeing. You can use those prices to leverage your dealer into getting a bit more realistic about pricing. You may also consider purchasing from one of those dealers as they both get excellent marks from Tiffin owners.

I would also suggest that you order your coach to your needs. You can use the fact that the dealer will have no interest charges or carrying costs on the deal to get them to start thinking rationally.

I'd definitely keep shopping around, and not necessarily for an Allegro 35QBA.

We looked closely at that model as well when we were in the market. The conclusion we came to, after looking at it and several other brands: We just were NOT convinced that the Tiffin was worth the huge price difference that their dealers were demanding. The Allegro definitely has some nice features that other brands do not, but NOT enough to be worth the huge price difference (20-30k from what we found).

Even the one discounted to $104k like a previous poster mentioned....You can get a similar floorplan in another brand (Winnebago, FR Georgetown, etc) for considerably less than that.

I have to agree with willald. Look around and see what else is out there. Winnebago, Georgetown, and Itasca (also made by Winnebago) are all good choices. When we bought out unit we found that a number of Tiffin dealers have a real high level of arrogance that really turned us off. The example the OP gave of 10% off MSRP is the perfect example.

If you have your heart set on a Tiffin no matter what, then two of the dealers with the best reputations are Davis and Sherman. On the Tiffin Forum those two get the best reviews.
