Anybody got a good line on a RELIABLE 12v transfer pump? Looking to load my fresh water tank in places I have to use totes or a bucket at the public spigot in public campgrounds and I can plug into a 12v outlet in the cab.

Harbor Freight Marine pump. You can also put a marine deck plate in the top of your tank if it is under the step and then is is easy to fill as you just pour it in. Added benefit of easy cleaning of inside of water tank.

I use a transfer pump I got from Tractor Supply. You can also use a Sureflo pump like you have in your rig. It has a lift of 6 feet

No idea regarding reliability but I stumbled on this recently that I'm giving some serious consideration.
AquaCharge Pump

Found it for $58 here.

The site doesn't list the lift capability of the pump but I have shot an email asking for lift and flow info. I'll post when I get it if anyone is interested...

EDIT- PS: The site I linked to as a source for this (Kleen-Rite Corp) has a huge selection of pumps, including 12v transfer pumps. The ShurFlo and FloJet brands both have 12v pumps to choose from. Not sure how many others may also be there.

I second this idea, one of the best mods we did to the camper...

Easy to fill, easy to clean, also if your main camper pump should fail or your batteries are low just open the cover and dip the water out.

Go one step further and buy a hikers water purification pump and you are completely independent for water.

Plus you get some exercise carrying the water to the tank hatch.
