It seems you are a bit testy on the subject, so I now have to question my unwaivering faith in your ability to control your dogs. If I had a dollar for every time someone who's "dogs don't bark" in fact do bark when they are left alone I'd not be retired, but I could sure fill my gas tank a few times.

But the question remains.. why should I have to listen to someone else's dogs yapping for hours?

This is one of my 'pet' peeves as well. I love dogs, never mind seeing them at CG's, but I cannot stand the people who bring dogs who are obviously not socialized nor used to being alone, and they decide to leave for the day but leave fido inside the camper right next to me when I wanted to relax under my awning. There is no sound much more annoying while camping then someone's dog barking non stop all day when the owners just trotted off in their truck and left everyone else at the CG to deal with it.

That is incredibly rude and poor form to everyone around you at a CG. They act like they had no idea, but any good dog owner would leave and stick around close enough to hear if their dog was going to be quiet enough to leave alone. If it isn't, don't leave. Sorry if one is inconvenienced but if anyone should be inconvenienced by one's dog, it should be you the owner, not all of their neighbors.

I wonder how many campers bring their animals with them because they have no place else to leave them or can't afford to Kennel them

Actually he's pretty dang quiet and yes I do check with the neighbours.

Was just saying that many things can happen in a campground and not all intentional, like the time the guy next door was cleaning bugs off of his coach and got water overspray all over my vehicle that I had just finished polishing up with a drywash.

Some owners may not realize that fido barks while there away unless you tell them.

Not everyones kids are perfectly behaved
Nor do any play there music to loud or there outdoor TV's

We pick up after her, shush her when he barks, walk her on a leash etc.

Just don't clean up after your pet everywhere. After all, if the park is not charging fees for pets, the costs are built into their site fees, so you are paying for it anyway. Perhaps the answer is for parks to just have pet sites and non pet sites. You get a pet site full of dog crap, cat litter dumped around, dead trees from tie outs being tied to them, holes dug by dogs etc. all courtesy of your fellow RVers, all of whom don't let their pets do those things. This would work for both the pet owner, since they are all responsible pet owners and would never let their pets be a nuisance, and the park, which wouldn't have to do any pet maintenance or repairs. A dog tied to a water spigot that breaks off, no more water to that site. A dog digs up and chews up some sprinklers, let the grass die. We will segregate off a section of the park, fence it off, and pets will not be allowed anywhere but dogtown. Bet that will be a nice area in a year or two.

Being a responsible pet owner (although your "sarcastic" post was a little harsh) I actually agree. Setting aside designated pet camping areas would be a good idea. The park owner could charge more for these sites for the extra maintenance and would not have the cost of fixing "pet damage" at random sites.

Problem with the plan is as you can see from this thread, people DO NOT want to pay more if they have a pet. If they pay more, they say they will just let the pets do their thing wherever and let the park clean it up. The additional amount I would charge if I knew people were actively going to let their pets defecate and urinate and the owners were not going to clean up would not be affordable, I can assure you of that.

More than once, I've had barking dogs nearby while the owners were out. Rather than have a confrontation with them directly, I speak with the park manager and let them take care of it. Same with unruly kids. If the manager doesn't step up and enforce the park rules, that is a different problem.

Usually a complaint to the office will bring results and I've seen pet owners and parents go into the "Not my Johnny or Fido they are well behaved" tirade. Kids and dogs have different behavior when mom and pop are out of sight.

We pick up after them ALWAYS .

I am sure you do.. But many do not, and then the park has to do it, and the park does not know that you do, Hence the extra charge.
