I am considering replacing my batwing antenna with a fixed mount Jack antenna. How do the holes match up from the old antenna to the Jack. Is the bolt pattern similar or will I have to figure out how to keep the holes from the old antenna from leaking?
I can't seem to keep the rubber cover that goes over the wires that go through the roof from working itself off the little nipple and letting rain in.
Any ideas or how did you deal with this?
Thanks for any ideas. Just a little back ground, 2004 Holiday Rambler DP.

Raise the boot, put enough calking around hole and coax so when you slide the boot down all is sealed.

If you replace the batwing with the Jack and keep the antenna arms, to raise and lower it, you do not need to worry about breaking the seal.
If your existing batwing has a powered amplifier, DO NOT use the transformer/power supply that comes with the Jack. The Jack antenna will get it's 12 volt power through the coax cable.

I did a total replacement of my bat wing after a neighborhood tree destroyed it. It was pretty straight forward - remove the bat wing, clean up the old caulk (a heat gun helps), install the Jack over the existing hole, caulk any old holes that aren't covered and around the Jack. You will need to determine which shaft extension to use for the Jack, mount the inside ceiling plate, and replace the old Winegard amplifier with the Jack model.
The outside work took less time than the inside but overall, less than an hour.

Not sure what the OP means by fixed mount. When I was considering the Jack antenna, I liked the swivel mount that the Jack had that did not require elevating and retracting as on my Winegard Sensar IV. Did some testing with the Jack head only as a replacement and stuck with my Sensar IV because of the way it handled better on the Sensar arms, smoother elevating and rotating.
However, when researching swapping out the entire antenna, King Controls does offer an adapter plate to cover the previous holes.

I replaced my batwing with a Jack. It was very easy the problem came about the fifth time I used it. I had a weak signal and turned off the 12 V DC and then back on. That killed my Jack. Luckily I had the old batwing and put it back on. The Jack did get digital signals better; before it died.

I replaced my batwing completely with the Jack roof mount unit. The toughest part was removing the existing Winegard. On my Winnebago, the base was glued to the roof with an epoxy type glue that created a very secure bond. I ended up taking part of the fiberglass off as the expoxy wouldn't separate from the roof. I used a small sheet of aluminum to cover the old antenna mounting and mounted the Jack to the alumiminum. Works great.
