Hello,
I am looking for some input regarding opinions on two units that I am interested in.
They are the Cougar 276RLS and the Sabre Silhouette 290RKDS.
The prices I have on these two now are within $200 of each other, what are your thoughts on which is the better value.
I don't really have a preference of rear kitchen vs rear living, they both would be fine for me.
I just want the best construction/durability for the price.
Thoughts?

We had our Sabre rear kitchen for 4 years and loved it. It offered the best bang for the buck. Been to to the plant and was impressed with their construction. It has a 6 sided welded aluminum cage, the Cougar has wooden rafters and 5 sided aluminum frame.
The rear kitchen is nice with more counter space and is a better layout to relax and watch TV, without having to look through the kitchen to do it.

Not sure if it makes a difference that this is the Silhouette (lighter) series and the Cougar is the standard series.
I totally understand about the all-aluminum cage, so thats good info.
It also seems there is more kitchen storage in the rear kitchen.
Good info, keep it coming!

If you really like the rear kitchen, I suggest looking at the Cougar High country 299RKS. It has aluminum construction & weights less than either of these units. I will admit that I am not familiar with Sabre quality. This is our second Cougar. The first was trouble free & so far almost a year old, the second is great.

Unless you need the lightweight, I would go with the standard weight. Cougar has always been a nice rig.
PS - My cousin just got the Couger lite to tow with his Tundra. Too early to tell but it sure looked nice.

Thanks for all the input so far.
I like the Cougar High Country but I don't need the light weight, and the High Country would be about $4000 more.
The main reason I am comparing the Cougar 276RLS and Silhouette 290 RKDS is because they are within $200 of each other with the deals I have so far.
It seems that the Sabre might have the edge here, unless I can get more knocked off the price of the Cougar.

Well, pulled the trigger on the Cougar unit.
I think that the Silhouette was a little nicer and had a couple features the Cougar did not, the deal I was able to get on the Cougar was too good to pass up.
I appreciate all the input on the comparisons.
Thanks for the help.
