Who likes 'em? Who hates 'em? We use clear rope lights on the awning. To me it adds to the camping experience. Others hate them. (I know a few.)

I think some are pretty cool, but we don't use them.

Just turn 'em off when you go to bed -- along with your porch light -- and you'll get no complaints.

They're called tacky lights for a reason. Ours are pigs.

I don't use them either............As Chuck_S says: "they're called tacky lights" and they're really tacky.
I have a nice HTT and I think those lights will take away the beauty of my camper.

My opinion

When we first hit the road....GF bought some tacky lights for the awning.

Set up rig.....got out the lights......strung them.
Yep tacky alright.
Turned them off when we went in.

Couple hours later a wind storm (none forecasted) blew in....high gusts.
Ran out to put awning up......had to rip the lights down in order to save awning.

That was the end of awning lights.

Now I just stick an automobile flasher into pigtail......turns running lights on and makes them flash.
Leave them on all night for that 'neon induced Las Vegas thrill'

Not really......hate lights in any CG.
I'd really just prefer the natural lighting of the night-----moon/stars

They B tacky but we have a string of them. PIA to put up and take down especially if in a hurry to get the awning put up in a storm. There are those that go overboard.

I like them and I use them but shut mine off overnight.....I used wooden clothes pins and can take mine down quickly if need be.
