Volume muted here... and, just in case anyone in charge is listening (reading), I simply refuse to patronize advertisers who run obnoxious ads.

The first time the horn sounded I almost fell out of my seat !! Now I turn down the volume...if I woulda fallen maybe woulda landed on my dog we both would be hurt, then I have to sue RV Net, GS, the originator of the ad, the guy that wrote the code, and everyone else I can think of for my damages, plus some extra for pain and sufering.

That would be more effective if you contacted them directly. It's what I do.

I had the same reaction (noise pollution) and found out that by accessing this forum through the Woodalls link, the horns are gone. I use Safari. Here is the link if you want to try it out.

I sent the forum manager an email complaining about the horn and they answered that they would forward my email to the advertising manager. I also think it is very annoying.

skipnchar, I just checked, "Add Blocker" was disconnected and does not work with version 14.0.1 (what I have). Go figure something good comes out and I can't use it.

If you want to go back to FireFox 13.0.1 (which I know works with AdBlocker), here is Mozilla's archive. if you're running Windows, you'll want the one at the end of the list ("Win32"). You *might* need to uninstall ver. 14 first, if the installation refuses to replace a newer version.

Even though AdBlocker was working fine for me, and I never actually got blasted by the horn, I have moved on to Woodall's anyway, just as a way to "vote with my feet" against this obnoxious practices -- before it spreads any further. Websites do get their income based on the number of visitors.

I'm running the same version and AdBlock Plus.
